Hibbert + 15 offered for 2?

From Woj:
With an eye on drafting Arizona’s Derrick Williams, the Indiana Pacers have discussed a package including center Roy Hibbert(notes) and the 15th pick for the Minnesota Timberwolves’ second overall pick, league sources said. Nevertheless, the overture hasn’t gained traction in Minnesota.

I still think Hibbert has a lot of upside and so it's something I would chew on. I like it better than Gortat + 13.

Hibbert's numbers:

82games: 16.4 PER, 17.6 OPER, -0.5 NET On/Off

BBref: 100 ORtg, 104 DRtg, .507 TS%

Synergy: 0.85 PPP on O (ranked 337), 0.93 PPP on D (Ranked 304)

So, basically he sucks on both sides of the floor and he's a poor athlete.

Not even close. And If there is one team we are not dealing with it is the Pacers, if Kahn's past public ripping of their offers is any indication.

regardless of Paul George's pending MVP status, the only player on that team I'd want would be Granger and it would have to be a Michael Beasley style ripoff and MAYBE Psycho T or Collison if we drastically changed the makeup of our team.

I'd pass for Indy. You don't give up a 7'2" center who has 20/10/3/3 potential for the rights to draft the second coming of Al Harrington.

You mean the 24 year old who put up 12 and 7 on 46% shooting in his 3rd year in the league?
But keep hoping that potential kicks in before his knees give out.

Not enough from my perspective.

Hibbert is just too damn slow, and while he's good at a few things, he's not great at much of anything, beyond being slow...

After watching all his video, I don't want slow anywhere near Ricky.
I'd rather roll with AR at center and let Rubio figure it out :)

I'd do it for Indy.
If Derrick Williams is a Beasley/Harrington with a better attitude, he could become an offensive stud and a player who at least tries to defend.

I don't like it for Minny. Hibbert is special, but he ain't that special IMO.
Hibbert and Love would also struggle too much on defense.

I don't think we'd get much more value back for the pick than that, and it balances out the roster nicely, especially if we draft a sg at 15. I'd do it.

Some posters expect young players to have lots of potential. Some players expect young players to have little potential. The discrepency in this post demonstrates something else is going on.

The loudest IND posters on the trade board share Macho King's perspective. One even called Hibbert the "third best center in the league." Unfortunately, it's going to make it difficult for reasonable discussions on RealGM.

Personally, I don't think his plodding style is a fit here, and I'd rather keep Williams, or look for a better offer.

I don't think there is a worst possible player that fits next to Love than Hibbert

I like Hibbert, but for #2 they'll have to add some more pieces or maybe take on salary. George intrigues me.

I just want one really good player, not a collection of acceptability

Are they getting that with the #2?

Edit: Just to be clear; I'm not a giant Hibbert fan. He's apparently even more overrated than I thought.
