Tanguy Ngombo
Saw this on the wiretap and I don't see anyone discussing here so I have to ask. Do we have Ngombo's rights or does Portland? Sorry if this is obvious, I had to work tonight and the draft was hard to follow on my phone with all the trades.
"The Portland Trail Blazers have acquired guard Raymond Felton from the Denver Nuggets in exchange for guard Andre Miller, while sending Rudy Fernandez and Petteri Koponen's NBA rights to Dallas as part of a three-team trade.
Portland also acquired the draft rights to Jordan Hamilton (taken 26th overall) and Tanguy Ngombo (taken 57th overall) from Dallas for Fernandez and Koponen. Hamilton's rights were then sent to Denver as part of the Felton trade and Portland is currently in discussions to trade Ngombo's rights.
"I want to acknowledge our basketball personnel staff for their hard work and thorough preparation for tonight's NBA Draft," said Trail Blazers Owner Paul Allen. "I thought it was a very good night for the Portland Trail Blazers and our fans.
"I also want to thank both Andre Miller and Rudy Fernandez for their contributions to the team these past few seasons and wish them all the best for the future."

We do. They got that pick from Dallas when they traded Fernandez for Hamilton and then we bought it off them.

I think we never see this boy with the Twolves jersey.

With an age rumored at 26-plus, he scarcely qualifies as a "boy."

That's definitely likely. Having someone to stash and see if he blossoms is fine, though, since the roster is full. I also like the background of the pick. It doesn't suggest that we're doing more or better work than anybody else, but I just kind of smiled when Fran Fraschilla jumped right into a story about the Wolves being the only team that had even heard of this kid (man?) before Tuesday, and DraftExpress doing a bunch of work to develop that information.

I doubt he's 26. If he's that old he would have been ineligible for this draft.

Who knows his real age?
Same question as with Yi Jianlian.

Usually soccer players start play before basketball players, and if you like a african soccer player probably you'll have a lot of references about him. Otherwise is a swindle.
Talking about baskeball, if you want a african player and you only have references from Quatar ... somebody is fooling another stupid white man.

Ronzone is funny. I kind of imagine him having a network of scouts like Fremen from the Dune novels. But we obviously wanted him and I trust what we're doing, hilariously wierd though it sometimes is.

I'm assuming the NBA asks these kinds of things. I could be wrong but they would have to have an age on him to make him automatically eligible in the first place.

Actually, this was Philo's pick. Apparently saw the guy when his China team versed Ngombo's Qatar team and he dropped 24 and 9 on them.

Not sure how I feel about this pick, looks pretty pitiful at times in that video. Would rather have just stashed Lucas Noguiera.

.
They have an age, but it's whatever he says it is. There's no documentation and that's the problem.

I don't think he is officially yours yet? I am not sure if Portland and Minnesota have worked out the trade yet. It also seems odd to me that Paul Allen would simply sell a pick.

He wasn't in this draft.
Likely inconsequential at that point in the draft, but I wish that the Wolves would have stashed Hanga, the guy the Spurs took two picks later.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

according to Draftexpress, the NBA can and should invalidate the pick.

Sell Bogdanovic, buy nonexistent draft rights to Ngombo.

Ok, I saw his name on undrafted prospects on SI.com. Nevermind, would've rather not picked this guy though.

So if he actually is older than he said (which seems to be the case right now) what happens than?
