Willims for Ibaka swap

It's defense for offense swap. Ibaka is a great fit next to Love and Rubio. OKC may do it because Williams will be just starting his rookie contract while Ibaka will have to be resigned pretty soon.

Doubt either team does it. OKC needs defenders and guys who can just finish plays since Durant/Westbrook is their offensive focus.

I think Williams has much more value league-wise than Ibaka. Can't see him being traded for the #2 overall pick.

Sefolosha + Ibaka for Williams + Lee is more fair IMO. But it's hard to make it work salary-wise since Ibaka is only paid $2 mil.

This team is in no position to trade a realisticly potential stud for a role player, or two role players, or three...

Ibaka is a stud and has the potential to be the PF version of Dwight (with a jumpshot)...but he's ideally not a center, and has a much better mid range than post game, so he's not the classic center that you'd ideally put beside Love.

Williams is a complete unknown at the NBA level, so while his potential value is fairly high it would be foolish to trade him before you let him establish his value (unless you thinks he's a bust and want to bail). I suspect, however, he will be a very good player, so i'd let him establish his value then trade him for a high value player that let's you balance your roster, or move Love or Beasley for a piece to compliment him.

So essentially the trade either hurts both teams, or just Minnesota (depending on how well DW can play PF). Unless he's a bust, in which case it's better to gets something of value for him...but Ibaka is still a poor choice.
