MIN - WAS (final roster move)

Post#1 » by Dandy » Fri Jul 29, 2011 9:03 pm

Minnesota
Out - Beasley, Randolph, Webster, Pekovic, Miller
In - Lewis, McGee

Washington
Out - Lewis, McGee
In - Beasley, Randolph, Webster, Pekovic, Miller

Minnesota Lineup:
5 - McGee 34, Milicic 31
4 - Love 42, Tolliver 44
3 - Williams 23, Lewis 7, Hayward 32
2 - Johnson 4, Ellington 19, Lee 3
1 - Rubio 9, Ridnour 13

I think this is the last piece of the puzzle trade. It gives our core players minutes at each of their respective positions and brings us down to 12 on the roster. Eating Lewis' contract hurts, but this starting 5 could be set for some future playoff runs. Let me know what you guys would think if this one went down.

I can't see how you have any value going out when we have to take back Rashard Lewis.

Maybe for Miller, Pekovic, Milicic, Hayward, Ellington, Tolliver but Gee is nowhere near the player you'd want to eat Lewis' contract for plus send out Beasley and Randolph.

Rubio/Ridnour
'Johnson/Webster
Beasley/Williams/Lewis
Love/Randolph/Lewis
McGee/Randolph

Eh.

Are you sure you're not actually a Wizards fan?

That is gross.

and with that, this thread has now turned into a Kevin Harlan appreciation thread.

They are talking about JaVale McGee... Alonzo Gee plays for the Cavs now.

Last I heard we were talking about a #2 for McGee + #7 trade.

Oh I mis-spelled McGee earlier in the post. my bad. Neither player is worth taking on Lewis though. :P

Of all the things I've lost, I miss Kevin Harlan the most.

I googled the below line (it seems assumed, but captures the spirit), because I couldn't find any video of him standing up and screaming the call at KG after a big (or regular) bucket.

Kevin Harlan wrote:"And Terrell Brandon has slid into the first row of seats! And he's spilled the beer of a big fat guy! The big fat guy has beer all over him! He's incensed! He's lost his entire beer! He can't believe it! Oh, it's actually a big fat lady!"

Seriously: I'd trade Love and Rubio for Kevin Harlan back. I don't even care; we're not ever winning a championship.

Here we go:

Yikes. If we take Lewis' contract, I demand to get a lottery pick back.

A Beasley trade that even I couldn't get behind. Good lord, that has to be one of the worst trade ideas i've ever seen.
