Out of State or Country?

Like most Wolves fans, I'm from MN where its relatively easy to find Wolves games on TV and other fans to watch them with (although that part has gotten more difficult in the post KG era). I recently moved 2000 miles from Minny to Temecula, CA and unfortunately I haven't met many people who even realize that we still have a team. I have followed this board for about 6 years now, and I have come to realize that many of the other posters are not local Minnesotans. I imagine the same is true of many lurkers as well.
Since there is little to no Wolves or NBA news lately, I thought I would start a thread for other displaced fans to say hello and let us know where they are following this GREAT (yep, I'm hopeless optimist) team from. So, if you are living in a land far away or even just rival NBA territory, log in and say hello here. It will be interesting to see what states and counties we have covered.

I'm opening the Germany squad. I know we have basti coming from Germany and we had one (or two?) more from Germany that posted once every while.

That's where I live. Great city. The sports teams here suck, though.

I'm from Spain. I am a Twolves fan before Ricky Rubio. Since 96-97 season. I could watch a Twolve's game at target center in 2009

Hey, I've been a long time reader here and I'm from the Philippines. I do believe there is at least one other poster here from the same country as I am. Shame I wasn't able to watch Derrick Williams when he came here with Kobe, Durant, Rose and others. Tickets got sold out in a
couple of minutes and that's for around a 15,000 seating capacity and around $100 for the courtside seats alone!

Been a long time fan of the team also, I think since the 2nd or 3rd season of KG. I've also been to at least two Fantasy Leagues here. Lol!

Maybe this shouldn't count, but I'm from the state of Iowa.

I'm from Southern California, and practically everyone down here, with the exception of my family, is a Lakers fan. It seems that I'm all alone down here. Anyways, I haven't been following the Wolves much over the years: Was a fan of them in 2001, but didn't really follow them closely until the 2009-2010 season. Now I practically follow them every day and hopefully for a long time.

I'm from Melbourne, Australia. There's a fair few Aussies lurking on this board.

How did everyone actually become fans? We have a lot of German and Aussie here, but it''s not like Minnesota is a known powerhouse team like the Celtics or the Lakers. I also find it cool that some fans live in states that actually have their own NBA teams.
I'm from Iowa, but have lived in Minnesota for quite some time. I have never had a chance to go to a Wolves game though, but one day I want to make a trip to the frozen north and watch some Wolves in action. You do have gas stations in Minnesota right?

I live in North Central part of the state, and there are a lot of Laker and Heat fans around here.... lol.

You know, we had this fella called Kevin Garnett. He was a fan magnet 10 years ago that impressed teenage basketball fans. A few years later, they've grown up and see that it's better to root for a team instead of a player

Yep. Germany represent. Although, as it looks right now, I'll be representing Norway relatively soon. Gotta graduate first, though.
Breatnach is another German on this board and, although he hardly pops in these days, Stanko Barac (the International Basketball board mod) said he's a Wolves fan, too, because of Darko. He's also from Germany.
There's probably another German that I forgot.
Honorable mention to my man MVP4LIFE. He's Dutch, which is quasi German

P.s.: I was about to post a picture of Berlin, too but I almost forgot that I moved back to my mum's place last week. Instead I'm going to have to post this

WRONG! Don't insult the Dutch like that, or you might find yourself banned one day...

No, more like it's hard to stop following a team after 5+ years of rooting for them. It just becomes a (bad) habit, although FO did everything that they could to make me kick it. And teenage fans were more impressed with Kobes, T-Macs and Iversons of the league back then.
Anyway I'm from Russia, and I've been a fan since 2002 cause of KG and couldn't kick the habit when they traded him (I root for Boston too tho).
