Man....Watching that reminded me that AR is a dunking machine...now imagine what he will do with Rubio.

Very excited for this season. We may not be ready for the playoffs, then again who knows, but it will be interesting all the way through regardless. So many unknowns, so much talent yet to be utilized and developed, a year of surprises for sure. Really should be a fun year regardless of the record.

Not sure what day or time the game will be at, so I might just take a day off work.

Lotsa AR in that promo vid. Let's hope we see that as a dominant theme in the coming season. Zgoda tweeted that Randolph was the 1st in the gym. Has anyone seen confirmation that he has added muscle mass?

If he shows up as a viable center, this season could rock.

An intriguing season we'll get to watch to say the least. From a brand new system, a 66 game schedule, the new rookies coming in, the improved play from the team (hopefully), new coach, and so on. There seems to be an unlimited ammount of possibilities that could unfold next season. I think we're still a few years from the playoffs, so I obviously won't get my hopes up about that, but nevertheless, I'll be watching every single T-Wolves game possible (perhaps even going to some live for the first time).

Nope. We don't have a 40 year old wiley vet to glue together our roster like McWilliams-Franklin, and no...Tolly and Brad Miller don't count.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I'm excited, but I know that it's going to be more of the same old thing. We added two more rookies, so I'm prepared to see us choke away many games with lots of frustrating mistakes. I actually think we are going to look worse this year than we did last year, but we'll squeeze out more wins because when we're on we will click and show flashes of brilliance against some team on their 3rd game in 3 days. The nice thing about this season is that it's a wash and we finally give up that pick to the Clippers so it's not hanging over our heads anymore.
I don't expect us to make any sort of leap until the 2012-2013 season.

My major hope for this season is that we don't have unrealistic expectations that lead us to gut the roster again. I could easily see us under performing to the point where our high-potential non-essential guys (Pek, Randolph, Beasley) are shipped out for pennies on the dollar just to "shake things up". We're not getting a center better than Darko without way overpaying, which I'm not prepared to do yet because it will most likely cost us a ton of money + Randolph or Beasley.

I'm not sure that the team could be worse than last year.

I absolutely don't need any encouragement to get hyped for this season, but that video did jack me up even a bit more.

I have been in a self-imposed lockout from this board for a while, because during the lockout I couldn't think about basketball without getting frustrated and depressed. I didn't know one way or the other what was going to happen with the lockout, and I vowed to not even think about it until I heard definitive news one way or the other. Also, I have been living in Thailand which has further distanced me from my basketball obsession.

But now I'm back and more hyped than ever, which is saying a lot. I can't even contain my excitement.I'll actually be physically back in Minneapolis in about a week for a 2 month visit, so I'll go to as many games as possible during that time. Once I get back to Thailand catching every game may be a bit of a challenge, but I'll do my damnedest.

Even if Rubio was the only addition this year I would be extremely hyped. I have been a believer since quite a while before we drafted him, and after the rollercoaster of the draft and the last two years, I almost can't believe we'll actually be seeing him in a Wolves jersey very soon. I really think he'll be one of the funnest players in the league to watch and will eventually bring the winning from his pedigree to the Wolves.

I'm also very excited about Williams, of course. And the Adelman hire makes me ecstatic. As many of you may remember, I defended Rambis pretty strongly up until about the All-Star break last year, but having Adelman (someone who I never imagined we had a chance of getting) should make a major difference. His recent Houston teams have consistently played better than they look on paper, and we all know the Wolves look pretty damn good on paper.

Anyways, bottom line, I am incredibly hyped!!!!

Have to agree with Breakdown. EVERY off-season we get pumped and think "This year will be a lot better!" Then after a couple of months we crash back down to reality. Great team or crap team I'm excited to the wolves either way. Even when we are terrible and I am at my wits end with our play I still enjoy watching the wolves more than any other sport on TV.

At least they should be fun to watch, I'm guessing 30 some wins, but fun is more important than wins at this stage. I'll start hoping for the playoffs in 2013 :)

I'm stunned we finally have a great coach, I hope the players are as well, lol

Last year was already a lot better than the season before.
Until we started tanking in mid March we mostly always kept the score close or lost after having a 3rd quarter lead or so.
The season before was a complete disaster. We weren't even able to compete often.

With Adelman, Rubio and Williams we have picked up 3 core pieces.
Adelman will help our team a lot in finishing games and also focus a lot on using the players strengths. If he can't turn our team around nobody can.
Rambis did exactly the opposite. He just sticked to his system that took away a lot of our players strengths (only Love, Rid and Tolliver seemed to fit into his terrible system).
Rubio should at worst improve our PG defense and a solid playmaker on offense. If he gets comfortable with his shot he could be a hell of a player.
Derrick Williams will also add a lot to the team. Whether at SF or PF opponent teams will have a lot of trouble guarding him. He can shoot and score inside and is build like a machine.
Another year for Wes, Love, Beasley, Randolph and company will also help.

December and January might be tough because everyone needs to get to know Adelman's system but after that I'm confident we can turn it around and finally play respectable NBA basketball again.
