Amnestied Players

Here's a thread for all the players that are getting amnestied and debate on whether the WOlves should bid on them.
1. Gilbert Arenas
Gilbert Arenas has officially been amnestied. If we're looking at Crawford, have to wonder if Kahn would put in a low bid to bring the Gilbert circus into town. Might make Adelman go nuts though.
2. Chauncey Billups
*Not yet official, but supposedly just a matter of formality at this point.

I'm only interested in a center, everybody else just gets in the way of seeing what we have in our youth...imo

if Webster's got some kind of injury again then our SG options are Wes (who was bad last year), Ellington (who sucks), and Lee (who was a 2nd round pick and for all we know might be in the d-league, though i have high hopes).

We absolutely need a real SG, but I don't see a lot of great options through amnesty. I am sort of hoping (not really hoping, more like fantasizing) that with the Paul trade vetoed, that maybe Kevin Martin is disgruntled and could be had a bit more easily from Houston.

Sounds like the talks for the 3-way deal are back on. Would be surprised if they pulled Martin out of the potential new deal.

New Orleans, Houston and Lakers are re-engaged in talks to find a new way to complete Chris Paul blockbuster trade, league sources tell Y!

Yeah, I think we have to focus on SG at this point. I'm OK with center by committee for now but I don't want to see Ellington getting major minutes.

Just deal with the Hornets then. They really need to drop salary and add youth.

Too much like a healthy Martell Webster IMO. Need someone that can handle the rock, is light on his feet, and can attack off the dribble.

I'd like Rip here. I'd give him MLE money for sure.

I would think the Hornets would flip Martin. They need to sell the franchise on young talent/top draft picks for the fan base to keep the "buzz" going. If we moved Beasley (doubt they want Johnson) and Miller/Webster/Pek, they should strongly consider.
