2 trades
Wes for Morrow.
I really like Morrow: SG, 26 y.o., signed cheap, improved his defense, light out shooter. If Nets balk, send them Jazz pick.
Rid and AR for Petrius and lotto protected pick.
Not much place for those 2. I'll take a pick and a EC of MP.

Nets say hell no and I'd rather hold onto AR if that's all he can fetch or package him in another deal for somebody else.

This is my favorite : Wes J, AR for Wes Mathiews.
Portland need bigs and AR will come handy for them, Wes J gives them another wing and since they just signed JC it may not hurt them much. I'm sure Portland can tell Kahn to get lost but he can get back with Jazz pick even both our picks.
I actually like Mathiews a lot as our SG. He can sure play defense and shoot the ball, he's signed long term to decent money is exactly the kind of SG we need. i actually like him more than Morrow since he the better defender.

Still think the Nets decline. He plays a key role on that team and if they can add D12 without moving him, he'll be a keeper.
Hard to say what their value is. I still think other teams could be high on them. Maybe a team like the Sixers would want to move on without Iggy and we can offer them in a package with Johnson + AR + Ridnour/Pekovic.

Like that Iggy trade. But wonder if we can afford him plus give big deal to Love and Beas.
Plus i like a shooter like Morrow or Mathiews that can play D and is cheap money.

.
But Wes and AR make Nets package for Dwight more attractive.

Matthews won't be going anywhere anytime soon. He's the franchise SG after the Roy era. Iggy might be too expensive but sure as hell would take him over another season of Where's Wes? Sell high, both their value will go down after the entire league finds out Wes is a role player off the bench and AR is too dumb to play.

Looks like Iggy trade would be the easier one to pull. They need to get Turner more involved and a package of Wes, AR and Pek makes a lot of sense. Iggy improves us on defense alot, gives us a secondary playmaker and when his contract is up we let him go and hopefully Lee can grow into starter role and take his place. They seem to have similar strengths and Lee can learn a lot from Iggy.

I prefer using Wes in both of these alternatives rather than taking on Iguodala's over-prices deal. Matthews isn't as good as Iggy, but neither are superstars. However, I think a $6.2 mil Wes Matthews > $13.3 mil Iggy, especially if Iggy also costs us a pick.

Morrow is selling low on Wes. He's a great shooter but he doesn't do much else. Not that Wes does either, but he's bigger, more athletic, and also has potential to be a great shooter

Ready to dump Wes and AR after one preseason game?
Morrow is as one-dimensional as they come. Wes has the tools to be a complete player. Dumping wes for morrow is silly. And getting a lottery pick for AR is not realistic.
I like Matthews, but there is no way Portland is moving him. With his contract, he is a steal for the next 5 years. Guy is as important the Portland as Roy was while he was healthy, at almost 1/3 the cost.

Not exactly, but we already know these guys cannot stay consistent. Beasley, Love, Williams, Rubio, etc. all came ready to play and they were all pretty damn good. Maybe it was just one bad night or maybe this is a sign of more to come? We won't know exactly yet. They need to step it up next game because in an easy match up in preseason, these guys should at least show up and play solid. With as much talent as they have, I expected a little more out of them in this one.
