Wolves to unveil ABA throwback this year

Post#1 » by mark blunt » Wed Dec 21, 2011 10:41 pm

Noticed on ESPN's Uni Watch column that the Wolves are 1 of 9 teams that will unveil ABA throwbacks during the season.

Also, the Bobcats are one of nine teams that will be unveiling ABA throwbacks later this season. The good news is that most of them -- including the one the Bobcats will be wearing -- are very, very good. The bad news is that they're all NOPE, which stands for Not Open for Public Exposure. In other words, nobody's allowed to talk about them yet. Further details when the gag order is lifted.

• The Timberwolves are yet another team with a throwback in the works, and you know what that means. (Hint: Rhymes with dope.)

Guessing it will be the Minnesota Pipers (née Pittsburgh Pipers)

I think they look really cool, but I'm still holding out hope for the throwback Muskies jerseys :)

Yeah, I thought Muskies won.

Speaking of dope, I love the old Muskies logo.

Yeah the Muskies would be great. Fittingly, they look kinda like UCLA unis..

This seems like a great time for something like this. People are actually excited about this team. Pipers, Huskies, 89-90s, lets do em all.

They should have Minneapolis Laker throwbacks.

That Pipers jersey looks like a bad version of a Knicks jersey. I don't want any orange and blue on Kevin Love....It might give him ideas.

Those Muskies unis aren't half bad. I want one of those blue warmup shirts, too.

I agree. The blue warm-up shirt they wear under the jackets are real nice looking.

I LOVE the Tams set too. It's so whimsical. A team named after a ridiculous hat. We need more teams like that.

You could pretend the Blazers are named after a jacket

If they wore a sports jacket for warmups, they would be my second favorite team for eternity.

The pants are hideous though. Why do they have back pockets?
