Were they bad? Yes. Did we lose both games because of them? No.

Eh. Tolliver was guilty of that blocking foul IMO. I thought it was more egregious giving LeBron the continuation.

Ultimately, we lost them because we turned the ball over so much (and missed 3 crucial FT's) but we constantly keep getting unfavourable calls in crunch time.
A good team would've put Miami away by icing the FT's but that Wade flop and Tolliver foul (it's either a charge or 2 FT's - but definitely not a continuation) were blatantly obvious in favor of the Heat.

Those refs are pathetic, i just went through the game and found at least 10 horrible calls. All going in the heats favor. No way that is unintentional. I thought LA got insane calls going their way, the heat are worse.

you have to roll w/ it, its the established cheese of modern day NBA. Guys who can attack the rim really well are going to get calls. Even mistake-prone slashers like Westbrook and Evans get a lot of bogus calls, the key is they're creating situations where the ref is visually seeing bodies flailing and are going to make a call, and since you only get charges w/ a stationary defender outside of the semi circle - which is asking a lot - the common call is a shooting foul so thats the what you're going to get most of the time. If you can't beat em, join em. Wolves need to figure out how to join the party. I know most of us would have no problems if Beasley would start cheesing his way to 8 or 9 FTA a game.

Obviously, nobody would complain but Beasley somehow gets about half the calls a regular player gets. If Kevin Love and Michael Beasley make the same move and get fouled 10 times. Love gets 8 or 9 calls, Beasley gets 2 or 3 at best.

beasley is too predictable off the dribble, he's just going to go hard to his left, no worries about any counter moves other than the occasional spin. He's Melo minus the first step and floppers lick their chops waiting for his charges.

I agree with most of the comments in regards to the officiating tonight. I've never been a big whiner when it comes to officiating but d@mn, the NBA has always had superstar favoritism in my opinion. If we got anywhere near LeBron or Wade the whistle blew. Maybe once we start winning, Love and Beasley and our guys will get some of those calls as well.
As I said, I agree that we lost against the Heat because of turnovers and missed free throws. We're so young but we're getting better so I think these games will start going our way sooner rather than later.
We've taken the two teams that most people feel will meet in the Finals down to the final seconds. A loss still sucks but you've gotta love what our future looks like!!!

As much as I hate how the refs treat us regularly, it doesn't help complaining about their perceived bias against us.
If we took care of the ball and hit our free throws, we had won this on our own terms.

80% of those people started "following" basketball in the last 18 months, so I don't put as much stock into their nonsense.

This. Refs didn't take the game away last night. Turnovers and missed free throws down the stretch did.

I watched both games and I don't agree. The Wolves were getting calls, they just need to make their free throws. Also, you guys had a perfect opportunity to win the Heat game, but put up a bad final shot.

Every team gets calls but we're consistantly the team that gets less favourable calls than the other team.
We have Love that is consistently getting calls. The other players have a hard time buying calls even if they get fouled because they don't flop like OKC, Clippers or the Heat.
I have to think we need to become more of a flopping team if we want to get more calls. It's sad but that's what the NBA has become. Flopping is rewarded big time.
Just re-read the general board game thread. A lot of unbiased posters on there and a lot of them said Wolves couldn't buy a call. In crunch-time we got a few calls but that doesn't take away that refs cost us big with that continuation call which definitely was either a charge or a blocking foul.
