Have you noticed this line in the ticket sales campaigns?

It strikes me as odd that we got the second pick in the draft, and we don't even mention Williams.

I think the fact that he's really nothing more than a rotation guy right now it's hard to sell the excitement. I keep holding out hope that someday they'll be syaing, "Come see Love, Rubio and Gordon"....

Along with what Fire Mchale said I think it makes sense because Beasley has a fragile ego while Williams feeds on being an underdog.

I keep holding out hope that someday they'll be saying, "Come see Love, Rubio and the World champion Minnesota Timberwolves"....


I don't think I'd read that much into it, shrink. Beasley was the second best player on the team last year and averaged close to 20 ppg. For the time being, he seems to be a big part of the team and of the marketing. Of course that can change in the future. Williams will get his due but he hasn't really done a whole lot at this point to get fans in the seats.

*Couldn't find it after a brief search. They always play it during the Wolves games so you'll see it eventually.

I've heard the line in radio spots too.

They are the ones that start, "When Kevin Love was a baby, his first word was "mine," and "If you happen to be at the dinner table with ricky rubio, don't ask him to pass the potatos."

I don't know, that line always makes me go .. "hmmm?" Maybe I'm overthinking it.

The only healthy player who has played less minutes per game is Wayne Ellington. It doesn't tell the whole story, but I'm not seeing Williams as much as I have hoped.

should be "come see Love/Rubio/Adelman"

I wish they would have gone with "if you're going to rock the ganj, don't hang out with Ricky Rubio, he's always dropping dimes," in hopes it might scare Beasley straight.
