Wolves Need to Trade Wes...

Post#1 » by Krapinsky » Fri Jan 6, 2012 12:06 am

...while he still has any trade value at all.

He's already played 17 minutes or less in 3 games this year. And that's with Webster + Barea + Lee all injured.

We need to move this guy pronto.

denver trades: arron afflalo, wilson chandler(when he returns from china), 2012 1st rd pick, 2nd rd pick

minnesota trades: wes johnson, derrick williams

yes.....no....maybe

some tweaking would need to be done for it to work but for the most part it helps both of our teams going forward. chandler is a nice addition off the bench and afflalo is strong defensively and can spread the floor with his shooting.

I'd be willing to trade Wes Johnson for Corey Brewer. Straight up. At least Brewer hustles his ass of every damn game.

Any trade involving Williams needs to be vetoed immediately in my humble opinion. Lets give the kid a chance to show he's got game.

I think Williams is the real deal and has a very bright future for us. Trading him would be crazy!

Swap Rudy for Brewer and I like it. When is Chandler coming back?

I would love to have Brewers hustle and scrappy defense back.

Ugh. I'd rather cut Wes straight out than trade him for Brewer.

Edit: and why don't we get back Sasha while we're at it? I can't believe a bit of time makes people forget how brutally awful Brewer was.

I'd be cool with Beasley and Wes for Chandler, Fernandez, and Denver #1. I also wouldn't mind J.R. assuming Beasley's getting shipped out.

I'd like to dig up some Jonny Flynn threads to we can put together a timeline of how fast his trade value dropped from we won't trade him for #10 (Paul George), to here's a first round pick, please take Jonny Flynn.

Holy smokes, other than Rubio (which was a no brainer pick), Kahn really has butchered the draft process.

Flynn, Wes, Hayward, Ellington...

Trading #18 pick with Lawson on the board.

Even the euro 2nd rounders we stashed look like they stink.

Williams was pretty much a no-brainer too (despite what the debate on this forum might have led you to believe).

Ah yes the old Eshony vs Ice32 times. I don't think of Brewer any differently now than I did when he was on the team. Sasha brought absolutely nothing to the team except yet another reason to dislike Rambis. Brewer was capable of playing defense. That is all he would have to do and he does that better than Wes. It's not like Wes regularly brings anything on offense. Brewer would be a nice contrast to Barea at SG.

Requesting merge with the rant, whine, etc thread.

We all know his draft history and that Flynn's value plummeted in a short time. None of this is news to anyone. Are you trying to counter LOBO's optimistic thread or what?

Not sure if that's directed at me, but I'm all for trading Wes while we can, just not for someone just as bad like Brewer.

No, that was just general support for this thread and the idea that we should trade Wes ASAP.

I am 100% behind trading Wes. It is pretty clear Adelman isn't really impressed. Adelman never talks about how to get Wes more involved. The team (marketing wise) never features Wes despite being a top 5 pick.
