Would You Rather...

Now that it's been announced that Beas will miss the next three games, would you rather:

1) Move Wes over to the 3 giving more minutes to Wayne.

or

2) Keep Wes at the 2, and give more minutes to DWill at the 3 even if he isn't ready for it yet.

Since Williams hasn't been playing much at the 3 spot I'm all for giving Wes extended minutes at the 3 spot. Also, what difference does it make to give Ridnour or Ellington more minutes on the court? This will hurt us either way.

I say move Wes to the 3 spot and sign a shooting guard to a 10 day contract. Whoever we sign will be better than Ellington.

I almost expect Rubio will start with Luke in the backcourt. Not the most traditional look, but it's the furthest deviation from normal rotations.

I'd prefer Williams and Wes start in the outlined scenarios.

Easy choice. Option 2.

Regardless of how unprepared Williams is to play SF he will help the team more than Ellington can.

Willias would be covering Rashard Lewis in the first game so that should be easy enough. The other two starting SFs would be Rasual Butler and Deng.

Given that Barea hasn't been cleared to play yet, who is supposed to back up either one? We only have Ellington off the bench...

The 10 day contract idea looks kinda enticing...

This I guess. Probably what we will see is extended minutes for Tolliver at SF, though. Injuries just don't give Adelman many options unfortunately.

Good point.

How can we do a 10 day contract? Are we going to apply for and be approved for an injury exception that quickly? Especially when everyone is expected back this month?

Rubio - Randolph - Williams - Love -Milicic. Just go with a big line-up. Screw traditional 1-5.

Randolph running around trying to guard Young/DeRozan/Hamilton would be good for a laugh.

I'd go with option 2. Start Williams.

1.

If Wes actually is more effective at the 3 spot, then he'll raise his trade value. If not, then we'll know that he just isn't an NBA player and act accordingly. Either way, Williams should see an increase in minutes off of the bench both at the 3 and 4.

This is what I think we will see. I think the impetus for the rotation is going to be as some have mentioned on the board the breakdown of minutes over these next three days. Wayne was going to probably see the floor more before the injury, but he'll certainly get his shot now with one less wing in the fold.

I hope Wes gets into a groove at the three. I really would love to see him playing comfortably there, even just for stretches of the b2b2b.

I definitely agree with this, but it is not what I think will happen. We fans tasted winning last week and know that this team should actually beat a squad like WAS, but I don't think Adelman is going to waiver on bringing DWill along slowly. Wouldn't shock me to see him there some, but my money is on more Wayne.

Well put. Williams will get more minutes anyway with Beasley being out. That way Wes can start at the three. He hopefully realizes that this is his last chance.
