With Barea back, Ridnour goes to 3rd string

Now that we have Barea back, it is PROVEN that Rubio is better off starting. Rubio starts, Barea takes Rubios spot and Ridnour jumps in and plays the 3rd point. We cannot afford to keep chasing teams. Ridnour can shoot, but not lead an offense. I was ok with it till Barea got back, but now things have to change. I am sure Adelman will see this soon and that was his plan all along. Barea is on of the best pick ups we have done for years. This team played really good tonight, but we need to win this if we are going to make the playoffs. We are SO CLOSE!!!

And Ellington needs to take W. Johnsons spot. Wes needs to sit and figure out that he has not earned the SG spot. Maybe getting benched will wake him up. He was better last year than this year. It is a confidence thing. I love Wes, but he is not even close to what he was last year. Cant wait to see if Webster will spark some life in this position when he comes back. I sure hope so.

1 assist for Luke... he was shooting great , but he is poor at getting guys open and getting them the ball. Both of which JJ and Rubio excel at. I expect Luke is heading somewhere else in the next month, once Webster and Lee are back...

Barea plays a lot at SG, especially with Webster out and Wes moving up to SF. Rid would still be a 2nd string PG really.

I'd rather flip that and make Barea the backup point and Luke the 2. He is taller, after all, and a much better shooter.

Agreed.

I'd like to see something like this until Beas/Webster/Miller get back:
Rubio/Barea
Ellington/Ridnour
Johnson/Tolliver
Love/Williams
Randolph/Milicic
with Tolliver/Williams/Love playing together for extended spurts.

I think that is a decent mix of athleticism/energy and halfcourt players on both units.

The best line up would be Rubio/Ridnour/Beasley/Love/Randolph with JJB/Beasley/Darko as the primary back ups. The rest can fight it out for scrub time minutes.

That's what I was thinking.

Rubio/JJ
Ridnour/Wes/Ellington
Williams/Beasley
Love/Tolliver
Randolph/Darko

I think many of us had a feeling before he came here that Barea would be better served running the point than Ridnour.

I'm on board with you guys. Start Rubio and Rid and have Barea spell Rubio.
