Would this work to get Harden?

To Wolves: Harden, Nazr
To Nets: Beasley, Perkins, Pek, 1st Rd Pick from Wolves (Jazz)
To OKC: Rid, Lopez, Okur, Morrow (or possibly Brooks)

Wolves

Rotation: PG-Rubio/JJ…SG-Harden/Wes…SF-DW/Wes…PF-Love/DW/AR…C-Darko/AR/Tolliver

Reasoning: Evens out lineup consisting of too many players needing PT at similar positions and upgrades SG position to ideal-young-player next to Rubio. Gives DW more minutes and Wes a chance to come off the bench as 6th man and get mote minutes at more natural 3 position.

Nets

Rotation: PG-Williams/Farmar…SG-Brooks/Stevenson/James…SF-Beasley/James…PF-Kris/Beasley…C-Perkins/Pek

Reasoning: For the cost of Lopez (how much of a downgrade really when replaced by Perkins?), Nets move Lopez for some assets. Beasley might find new life being 2nd scorer on Deron’s team with an eccentric Russian owner…Beasley also would get his minutes, shots, and starts (is he really going to accept bench role in MN?). Howard trade stays a possibility with package around Perkins, expiring contracts and 1st round picks.

OKC

Rotation: PG-Westbrook/RJ/Rid…SG-Sef/Morrow…SF-KD…PF-Ibaka/Collison/Cole…C-Lopez/Cole/Okur

Reasoning: For the cost of Harden, OKC gets an offensive center to play along side Iblocka and help KD/Westbrook score. Yes they will have to pay Lopez coming off rookie contract, but how much more then Perkins? And they still retain a sharp shooting scorer off the bench in Morrow.

No.

Any Harden deal would have to start with Derrick Williams + Assets for Harden or Love for Harden + Assets.

Edit:

The deal is really, really terrible for the Nets. OKC might do it, though.

I don't think Love and Harden are very far off value wise. It would definitely take either Love or Rubio to get Harden.

I do. I don't see Harden being that close to Love at all.

Harden is much improved this year. Also, i'm not as sold on Love as some Wolves fans.

Williams + Johnson + Mem 1st is what I would offer. I still believe they turn that down, but I overvalue Harden. Maybe if they honestly believe they cannot afford to keep him they would look into moving him for a package like ours? Again, I think Harden stays in OKC when it's all said and done.

I like the idea of turning it into a 3 team deal with the Nets.

The Nets get Williams and Johnson (they liked him at draft time) for Lopez.
The Thunder get Lopez and the Mem 1st (I'd give them the Utah 1st, too).
The Wolves get Harden.

The Nets do it to get a high potential pick-and-roll PF for Williams and to open the starting C spot up for Howard next year. The Thunder do it because they already have 2 good role players at SG (Thabo and Cook) and they get some much needed front court scoring. The Wolves do it for obvious reasons.

At what point does Johnson have Thabeet-like negative value?

Only player the Thunder would really be willing to give up Harden for is Love (and Rubio maybe if they could trade Westbrook for an equally skilled 2 guard).

A package I could see maybe working for both teams is Harden/Ibaka/Perkins for Love/W Johnson (? wasnt this guy supposed to be good), following his extension. Not sure how the money would work out with Harden and Ibaka eventually due for extensions, but you get the idea. Only problem is, Love will likely be a max guy, so im not sure how much $$$ is gonna be leftover for Westbrook...

I'd be interested in Love for Harden/Ibaka from a wolves fan perspective, I thought OKC would be hesitant to include Ibaka with Harden. Can Ibaka play center next to Williams at PF? I know Ibaka can block shots but is he big enough to defend guys like Dwight and Bynum?

Check the trade board for how others rank the players. Harden has improved, but he's a long way from 24 and 15.

Well the fun of volume stats on a terrible team aside, their PER's are about identical this year and Harden is the better defender.

Harden also has an extra year on his rookie deal.

Not saying Harden = Love. Just saying they're not that far apart.

Love and Darko for Harden and Perkins.

I'd rather have a mean jerk (Perkins) than a puss( Darko) starting next to Williams.

And Harden would be great SG for this team. It's hard to imagine a better fit.

Harden is killin' it this year. He's been more impressive than Durant to me. Every time he starts pick'n'roll, it's either 2 points or free throws.

I'd do that. I like Love. A lot. But Harden is that good IMO.

I'd do it too.

Harden + Ibaka for Love + Wes or

Darko + Love for Harden + Perkins.

I like Love a lot. But I don't like him so much when he's making $15-$19M/year.

Harden's been this good for exactly 11 games. If Harden is as good, he's only a year behind in terms of getting paid.

The reason the Nets are involve in OP, is I really don't think Beasley works in MN. Also, Nets are a good fit...they are weak at SF/PF offensively, and style of play with Deron works well. Once he comes back from injury, hopefully his trade value rises.

OP trade may need to be 'sweeten' like adding another 1st rounder and swapping out Pek for expiring like Miller or Webster. Or part with AR or Wes...but something between the three is very workable.

OKC loves Harden. I think it would be hard to convince them to give him up. The guys is absolute money. OKC bench is a little light on scoring so Harden is probably not going anywhere

Harden is awesome but his value to Minny isn't what it would be on most teams. You've already got a guy who runs the PNR ok in that rookie guy.
