He's been really good these past 4 games, he's shooting 21-33 from the field.

6-9 - Clippers game
3-5 Pistons game with great defense and energy
6-10 Kings game
6-9 Hawks game

He has also brought a great defensive presence to the SG position and his energy has been stellar.

Is he working his way as a permanent rotation guy as our backup SG full-time or do you still want him out of here?

I think he should be starting over Ridnour right now at SG. Think he definitely is in rotation going forward

I forgot to mention that he's been also hitting big shots, especially when the offense is getting stale.

I wouldn't start him just yet, we need players off the bench to provide some life and with Rubio starting, we need Rain and DWill to step it up

I'm fine with him being a solid contributor moving forward. He probably should be starting over Ridnour but it's not that big of a deal. He's been good so far, lets see if he can keep it up. Ideally we get a solid starting SG and Wayne comes off the bench and continues to be solid in the future.

If williams learns how to play the 3 and becomes a stud-muffin at that, I really dont think SG will be a huge need for us. Ellington does what a 4th option should. He plays great defense and hits shots. If Williams turns into a great wing scorer, why would we need anything more than that? (meaning that if williams turns into a great wing - id kinda ruin the chemistry if we went for another 20 ppg SG.

Now, if williams doesnt turn into one, then we definitely need help, but Id be perfectly fine with having that player play SF and stick ellington at the SG (so long as he keeps up his good play)

If williams becomes that stud wing player we need, I think our most glaring need obviously becomes center.

He's a completely different player playing with Rubio. He needs that playmaker at point to set him up where he can just catch and shoot. When he does that he can really be deadly as a shooter.

If Williams becomes a stud at SF then I agree. Im just not sold at Wayne being able to play at such a high level consistently. I think D.Will will have to slim down just a bit but he has everything he needs to be a solid SF. And I'd argue a good center is our greatest need right now. IF Darko can continue to play like he did last night we're fine there as well but he won't

My hope is that the league is getting a chance to see the players at the end of the Wolves' bench and it's adding some level of trade value for the near future. A month from today I want to see Beasley, Barea, Lee, Webster and possibly even Miller getting regular minutes. That means that guys like Randolph, Pek/Darko, and Ellington start becoming regular candidates for the old DNP-CDs. By all accounts it sound like Kahn is at a minimum making inquiries, but let's hope recent events are keeping him from the likes of Haywood.

I can't see Wayne as a long term starter. It would be great if he continues to take and hit good shots and competes on defense when he's in. Then he would merit keeping long term as a cheap player off the bench, preferably like 8-10th man on a good team.

The Wolves absolutely still need an above average starter at SG.

his driving game is REALLY suprising me...showing a pretty nasty first step and some aggresiveness(sp?) going to the rim..hard work and professionalism really showing and paying off.

this guy is way too good to be shooting so few shots...plain and simple

One of my favorite players from this Timberwolves team. Good defender, good shooting %, very unselfish, never forces shots...and still young also!

would not even consider trading him. I think his market value is now much lower than his playing value. Good coming from the bench and maybe also as a starter (I think it´s a very good piece in a team with Rubio moving the ball)

This said, I haven´t seen more than these season matches (yes... I´m a spanish RR fan ), I´m sure his shooting % will not be as high in the long run but, as long as his defense stays there...

This team has too many good young prospects. It does make no sense to keep them all (with no minutes for all to develop), but chosing which one to get rid of is kinda scary. They all seem to have good potential. I don´t think many teams have this type of problems...

I really like Wayne, I wonder when we are finally healthy if we could roll with this line-up:

Love/Dwill/AR
Wes/Beas/Webster
Wayne/JJ/Webster
Rubio/Luke/JJ

Just have Beas and JJ come off the bench and provide a spark. I think the starting line-up needs someone who can create their own shot but is also unselfish. I think that person is Wayne, He doesnt dominate the ball or slow down the offense like Beas. Beas is perfect for the 6th man role IMO.

Is it me, or does the NBA overvalue athleticism waaaay too much? Shooting the ball into the hoop scores 2 pts the same as driving, dunking, etc. Just seems like Ellington gets not enough run/looks because of this backwards misconception
