I'm surprised none of the local media have caught this fom when the Bulls were in town:

Swan song: Former Bull Brad Miller is hoping to return from May 2011 microfracture surgery to repair his left knee in the next two weeks. Miller, who spent pregame catching up with close friend Joakim Noah and others, said he plans to retire after this season.

"Fourteen years," Miller said of his career. "Not bad for an undrafted stiff."

Yes, but he's only guaranteed $848,000 if waived by June 30th

Offer him a spot on the coaching staff

I think this only helps his trade value. He's perfect for a team that needs a big for a playoff run whose contract will come off the books next year. Not moving him seems like a missed opportunity to add value.

He might just take it. As I recall, he's a Hrbek-like hunter and fisherman.
