There has been much lambasting of David Kahn and his extremely poor draft record thus far as Wolves GM. I’m sure he has few defenders in this area. However, as I watched last night’s Jazz game, I could not stop thinking that the trade of Al Jefferson might exceed his dismal drafting record. With Adelman as coach, surely Big Al (a top ten center) and Love could have coexisted beautifully together on both ends of the court. However, this was debated while Rambis was coaching and the decision was that Jefferson (and not Love) was “the big” that needed to go. Surely at the time, we could have swapped Love for Millsap (plus a possible pick) instead of the Jefferson trade. With this said, what power forward/center combination would you prefer? Millap/Jefferson or Love/Darko or Pek. I think, it’s a no brainer.

It is a no brainer, you take what ever option gives you Kevin Love.

We have seen in an endless amount of games that Love and Jefferson did not really fit well together.

Millsap exceeded all expectations and nobody ever thought he was going to be what he currently is. What if scenario's are bogus.

The only what if Wolves fans should ever ask is what if we had not traded Ray Allen for Marbury on draft night.

I'd take Love and Darko and the extra $13 million in capspace.

Love plus anyone is a better deal for us. Milsap was never an option.

The Ray Allen deal pissed me off when they did it, nothings changed...
That Brandon Roy deal pissed me off as well, I don't think I'm over that one either

Yeah. Love+anyone > Milsap/Jefferson.

Right about now I wouldn't mind having Jefferson back now that Love as shown he is clearly the better player. Being able to dump the ball down to Al when the offense has stalled or Rubio is on the bench would be nice. No way would I want him back to be the offenses first option tho.

Actually, Millsap showed signs of what he is today and "what if scenarios" are part of sports. Nobody's asking you play.

The Roy/Foye trade is looking great these days. Having Rubio compared to an owner paying a player that can't play.

You didn't list it as an option, but in a month or two, I'd gladly take the PF/C combo of DWill/Love over either of the two choices you listed.

the topic is essentially Love or Millsap and I got with Love 10 out of 10 times.

EDIT: when factoring in: his age, potential, numbers and willingness to play here it's Love> any PF in the League

EDIT2: upping the ante Love over any BIG MAN in the League (including Dwight)

I mean this is probably not the right time for this but Kahns dismal draft record? you have seen the other 29 GMs right? I count 2 mistakes Kahns has made: Flynn and Wes Johnson.
Flynn was on everyone's board and he netted us Rubio on the same night.
(if you want to mention his trade of Ty Lawson, you have to mention a whole mess of GMs neglected to even DRAFT Ty, so that seems like a league wide boner there)

Wes Johnson came down to Wes or Cousins, while Wes hasn't panned out I'm still ok with NOT having Cousins attitude on this team.

if anything I'm pretty happy with what Kahn has done with the roster he inherited.

I think Big Al and Love would be better than Darko and Love. Everyone complained about our defensive problems but Darko only plays one half of basketball now anyway and so far, we haven't been able to get a solid center. We could go to Al down low and Love could do his perimeter thing. So far I have really liked the possibilities of Pek and he's basically a destitute man's Al Jefferson. We really need a post presence, in todays game there are too few of those guys around. I think we should really try to develop that with Pek.

Part of me wants to agree, but a lot of me feels like defensively they just wouldn't work out. Although we're now considering DWill- KLove...so... maybe not

Well that seems silly. Dwight is elite defensively and almost the rebounder that Kevin Love is. I think it is much easier to find a PF to play next to him than a C to play next to Love. Probably due to the position scarcity of quality Cs.

Love can't defend like Dwight it's true, but Love is really coming into his own as a scorer and we can go to him for the final shot (can't do that with Dwight). and remember the aspects i factored in such as (willingness to stay here)
