MN in: Bynum, Gordon, Blake, Walton
MN out: Williams, Johnson, Webster, Pekovic, Ridnour, Randolph, Miller, Utah 1st, Memphis 1st
LAL in: Okafor, Johnson, Webster, Ridnour, Memphis 1st
LAL out: Bynum, Walton, Blake
NO in: Williams, Pekovic, Randolph, Miller, Utah 1st
NO out: Gordon, Okafor
Minnesota creates a young, potential-laden starting 5. New Orleans builds around Williams and his rookie-contract with 3 '12 1sts. Lakers get the depth and solidify the starting 5 which they need.
Rubio/Barea/Blake
Gordon/Ellington/Lee
Beasley/Tolliver/Walton
Love/Tolliver
Bynum/Milicic
Ridnour/Fisher
Bryant/Webster
Johnson/Barnes/World Peace
Gasol/McRoberts/World Peace
Okafor/Gasol
Jack/
Belinelli/Henry
Ariza/Aminu
Williams/Landry/Randolph
Kaman/Pekovic
Too little, too much? Just don't like Bynum/Gordon or their injury issues? Could include a Beasley for Ariza swap if New Orleans wanted. The opportunity to generate massive cap room and flexibility while picking up Williams should outweigh the couple spots the Wolves would move back in the draft while New Orleans may move up a slot or two. Plus the Wolves would still need to work on their chemistry with the new roster which may cost them a few games. Lakers may be the least likely?

I hope no Laker fans read this. Terrible for them. None of that combined comes close to Bynum's value, regardless of his injury situation.
NO would need to make a decision that they value DW so much that they effectively concede the entire Chris Paul haul for him. Eric Gordon isn't happening, no matter how well fans think he would fit here.

Eric Gordon would be a dream come true, and it's not going to happen. Not that it's not likely to happen. It's NOT going to happen.
I would love to get Kevin Martin here though. I've been saying that ALL year long. He would be a little cheaper than a player like Gordon. Although idk if Houston will part with him with the way they're playing right now.

Love it for us, but EddyCool is right, Lakers aren't going to swap Bynum and Walton for Okafor and filler.

Re: MN/NO/LAL
Other teams would provide incentive to save money moving Walton off their team, especially if they had to pay him double for the lux. With the Lakers billion-dollar TV deal, they are not one of those teams.
That said, I think if Bynum gets traded, its going to be less than people expect. He can be a dominating center, but a team needs to be able to afford him, and they need to be able to do OK if his production/salary is in the trainer's room. Few teams besides the Lakers can bear both of those risks, without diminishing his price tag.
Moreover, if those big risks limit suitors, then the fact that next year Bynum will be able to leverage his way out off a team he doesn't like will further make teams question giving up big assets, and ending up with nothing. A Bynum trade is going to have to be to some place that he will agree to extend later.
I think this leaves few places that are better fits for Bynum than the Lakers, and they will mainly get offers that are less than they think he is worth. Unless Dwight Howard is guaranteed, LAL is going to have to be very careful managing their future and the Gasol/Bynum situation.

Re: MN/NO/LAL
Another idea (sorry!)
MN receives: Kaman, MN 1st, NO 1st
NO receives: Williams, Johnson, Pekovic, Ridnour, Memphis 1st
Ridnour/Jack
Gordon/Belinelli
Johnson/Ariza/Aminu
Williams/Landry
Okafor/Pekovic
New Orleans jump-starts the rebuilding process while Minnesota looks to address SG & C through the draft. Minnesota also clears cap-space with Webster/Miller/Tolliver & potentially Beasley/Randolph coming off the books.
Rubio/Barea
Ellington/Lee
?
Love/
Milicic
Have three draft picks plus cap-space. NO's draft pick may move back slightly ours should move down the lotto and Utah's will be just outside the lotto. Hope to target Beal/MKG/Leonard(or other C). Could also re-up Beasley/Tolliver. Just thinking of some ideas, hopefully someone can make these ideas better

Re: MN/NO/LAL
There's a lot of injury risk with both those players, but their talent and fit with Love/Rubio is excellent.
That's a dangerous team with everyone healthy. However, I agree with the others in the thread that the Lakers don't do this.
Of course, if NOH would do this deal (the old argument about whether they'd improve the Wolves pick), then they would do a Gordon/Okafor deal and it would be cheaper for the Wolves. I like that concept as much or more, since the Wolves could probably retain an extra rotation player and/or other assets in that scenario, and Okafor isn't a health risk like Bynum.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Don't want Kaman, and I think the value is off anyway, since the Wolves pick is very likely late lottery. I think Williams could fetch more.

New Orleans is 3-14. That's a top 5 pick right now.

Okay, if the pick is unprotected, then I would do it. I should have specified that there's no way that NOH would do that trade with an unprotected pick.

Kaman isn't a long term piece, he is an expiring to make the salaries work. THe reason NOH would deal an unprotected pick is for Williams, plus the other return. If anything I think the trade value may favor the Wolves although New Orleans definitely solidifies their starting 5.

While Derrick Williams might sell a few more tickets, I think the main goal for the Hornets is to make the numbers work so that a new owner will purchase the team. Supposedly they have four ownership groups considering it, but the Hornets were money-losers with Chris Paul .. I'm skeptical anyone can make the numbers work to continue basketball in micro-market NOH.
If a new owner was to come in, that NOH pick is probably his favorite asset. He's going to want to change the brand, and a new player drafted out of the lottery is a great start. He's going to want to make that choice.
I think the deal is interesting and the overall trade values aren't horribly different, but I think we are just moving in opposite directions from this one, so each team would put more value in what they have now.

Re: MN/NO/LAL
From the hornets id only want gordon. throw in okafor as well to lighten the hornets load of higher contracts.
I think something like
MN gives: Williams, Miller, Beasly, Randolph or webster and maybe a first from Utah or Memphis
MN gets: Gordon, Okafor
NO gets: Williams, Miller, Beasly, Randolph or webster and maybe a first from Utah or Memphis
NO gives: Gordon, Okafor
IF gordons contract issue comes into play could be resigned upon arrival or timberwolves add more contracts to cover Gordons new deal.
