Kahn: "I don't expect many changes this season"

FSN: Talking to Kevin over the past few weeks, he's said several times that this team is moving in the right direction but that it still needs a few pieces, a few more players. Is that something you agree with, and is signing him sort of an implicit acknowledgement of that?
KAHN: Kevin is a cornerstone, and the way Ricky (Rubio) is performing, he may well be a cornerstone. We're certainly not taking the opinion that this is it, we're done. But I certainly don't want to send a message to the players that we're looking to make some wholesale changes. That's not very helpful for team chemistry, either. I think we're very much in between. I think the most important thing we can do now for the next four to six weeks -- now that we have everybody healthy for once -- is to let the team play and just breathe. I don't expect us to be making many changes this season. But to Kevin's point, yes, we'll do everything in our power to surround him and the others with a championship-caliber team.

Might as well play out this entire season with everyone fully healthy. However, I think the majority of us know what we're going to get from the guys we currently have. We do need to make a few minor tweaks whether it's at the trade deadline or in the off-season.

I think I like this approach better than making a rash move now. Unless we can find a perfect fit, there is no point in moving sideways.
That said, if we are close to a playoff push at the deadline and a deal arises for quality piece, then I think they pull the trigger.

Probably the best approach at this point. Need to assess how some of these injured guys are going to look first. There might be more opportunities in the offseason as well. That said, I can see sneaking in on a Dwight deal or some other big deal if it happens at the deadline.

Should be stickied with 30 point bold font so some of these silly trade idea threads can become fewer.
I agree that, since we're just now getting healthy, that it would be unwise to make any drastic moves. And it's probably smart to give Wes some time to get out of whatever funk he's in, but if a good deal came along that would fit what the Wolves need, then obviously, hopefully, they'd pull the trigger.

Hopefully he's just trying to make sure that players keep working and their trade value doesn't plunge. Otherwise ugh.

This next draft in going to be very deep, so a 1st rounder could get you a good player, but I wouldn't give Beasley, give the guy a shot with Adelman, let's see if he finally shows his potential. The best case scenario is Utah making the post-season, but seems more than difficult.

We already own Utah's 1st rounder. We can't keep adding mediocre draft picks and then just sell them forever.

Not many changes sounds good. Getting a legit (as in decent) SG and/or C falls under that category to me.

I don't think it's the wrong thing to say or do even if we have been patient for all these years (it's certainly not the sexiest thing to say). We don't necessarily need to make a blockbuster move for the sake of making a blockbuster move, but that can easily change before the trade deadline if an opportunity arises before the trade deadline.

I'd be fine with them just making a small move, something like getting Courtney Lee. No need to do anything major and shake up the team when they're playing ok.

I wouldn't be surprised to see something small before the deadline. Kahn can only go so long without a cap-smart little trade.

If this is the "real" attitude Kahn takes as compared anything he says in the press - I'm out.
RIght now we have potentially two cornerstone players and a slug of role players ... far far away from being able to think we're okay to merely "tweak"
