Should be a winnable game. They had 8 guys last game, not sure who will be back for them tonight.

Win this one, it was my birthday yesterday and we got killed the day before, so hopefully this will lead to a win tonight and tomorrow! Image

Please Adelman, PLEASE let Rubio run and control the offense.

I don't want to get depressed again watching Ridnour dribbling and Ricky going to the corner.

I remember a lot of us being impressed with him. Saying he'd make a good 4th or 5th big. He averaged 7 / 7 for is in April that year.

I'm going to this one tonight! It's the only time I'll get to see the Wolves live this season.

Rubio will have his hands full, it should be fun. I expect them to come out motivated after that last performance.

I don't know how we're still rolling out this starting line-up.

I'm not so sure about this game. On the outside, it looks like we should easily take home a victory, but there's something about this game that strikes me a different way. I'm not sure what it is, but this might not be as easy of a game as you think it is. Maybe its just me reacting to how terrible we played against injury plagued lineups last season, but we'll see what happens this year.

Honestly, I'd be more worried if it were a home game.

Was going to make a thread about this, but figured I'd just put this here. I have a question, but I'm pretty sure I already have the answer to it, so just hear me out.

Why doesn't Anthony Randolph get very much playing time? Is it primarily because he doesn't have GREAT basketball IQ and sometimes makes a stupid turnover/foul?

I ask because it seems like EVERY time we've been down by 15-20 points and made a great comeback, AR was on the floor. Also, he and Rubio seem to have great chemistry. He's always in the right spot when Rubio's on the court, he always makes the right cut, he always runs the right lane, etc. A number of Rubio's alley-oop assists are to Randolph. He's, without doubt, our most athletic 4/5, but he gets much less action than Darko and Milicic. He also seems to be, along with Darko, our biggest shotblocker, even though the numbers may not support that.

I would like to see more of him, but mostly only when Rubio's on the court. He has tremendous potential. Last year, I was at the game in Dallas where he scored like 35 points. He has plenty of moves and is a very skilled player.

I just don't get why he's had a few DNP - CD and why sometimes he only gets a few mpg in some games. Is it just because he makes some dumb mistakes from time to time?

I guess it's because Adelman is trying to gel his team and needs to involve everyone in the process. Once you gel your team, you have the core and the role players and it's easier to make trades as well.

That's the only rational explanation I've come up with.

This would be MY rotation after seeing how things have gone so far this season. I would see how this would work for a few games:

Rubio/Barea
Ellington/Johnson/Ridnour
Webster/Beasley/Williams
Love/Williams/Randolph
Pekovic/Randolph/Milicic

As far as the center rotation, it would depend on match ups. If we're playing a team with a big center or a center who is a threat offensively, I'd play Darko more than Pek. But if the opposing center isn't a threat, Darko would be a DNP. I'd just find ways to get Randolph on the court more than he has been recently.

I have no idea what to do with Ridnour. I don't like him starting at SG at all. I love it when we go through stretches of not being able to score and he comes through with a few consecutive makes in a row, but that's all he's been good for this year primarily. And the only role I could see him playing alongside JJ is just a spot-up shooter, but I don't think Ridnour knows how to be that type of player. Playing Luke and JJ at the same time is more of a liability on defense than Rubio and Ridnour.

When you really look at everyone we have, it can be very confusing trying to get the right pieces to fit with each other. Most good NBA teams have an 8- or 9-man rotation they stick to. But I find it hard, with the roster constituted the way it is now, to find a solid 8- or 9-man rotation to use consistently. That's why I'm glad we have a HOF coach on the sidelines. Hopefully he'll figure it out.
