is there the possibility of making a trade for a lotto pick that bring us a good center(Andre Drummond for example)??

Drummond will be a likely top 5-10 pick in a strong draft. We would have to drastically overpay to get a pick that high.

I prefer Anthony Davis, the trouble is that it is PF, would be a good complement to Love, because Davis looks set to become a great defender in the NBA.

Only way to get Drummond is to hope the team that gets a top 5 pick needs a player like Derrick Williams. Then again, great young center prospects are hard to come by. I don't see any realistic shot at getting him or Anthony Davis.

Centers fine, we need a SG. Pek and Darko are not bad at all compared to our SG options.

He isn't so bad....he seems good in defence too

The only way we do it is with a package centered around DWill. I think it's possible if we like someone enough. The other option is to hope the jazz make the playoffs and we can get someone like Fab Melo at 16-18.

You want to get an Anthony Davis or Adnre Drummond it'll probably cost D.Will + Utah 1st + Memphis 1st + taking back a bad contract at least.

I would totally do that for Anthony Davis (drummond, eh)

I don't think that would even do it.

Realistic Center prospects

Meyers Leonard, Illinois
Tyler Zeller, North Carolina
Patric Young Florida (though I question him being a center)
Arnett Moultrie, Mississippi State (sleeper pick)
Festus Ezeli, Vanderbilt
Lucas Nogueira, Brazil (might not declare)
Fab Melo

My two favorites from this list are Festus Ezeli and Arnett Moultrie.

I kinda like Fab Melo as well. The dude rebounds, defends, moves well and loves to take charges. Which is what we need. Seems tougher than Leonard, but definitely less skilled. Kinda worried about him being from Syracuse though...

I sure hope he doesnt have a great smile, because if he does, forget it. Syracuse and great smile = avoid like the plague

Anthony Davis is my favorite player from this draft and it isn't even close. He reminds me of Patrick Ewing if Ewing was more athletic. Davis doesn't have the true post game that a center needs but his athleticism and BBIQ are fantastic. We're 2/3 of the way through a season and he's destroying SEC shot blocking records. That's ridiculous.

I would give up virtually everything this club can muster to put Davis next to Love and Rubio for the next several years.

+1
IMO Davis has the potential to be a very special player. Rubio throwing lobs to him would be AMAZING!

Considering how often centers are busts Id rather give some cash to Spencer Hawes (UFA) and get a young one who is actually a bit proven. Most of these guys will suck...

Should Spencer Hawes be a good fit next Love?

I think so, his game is similar to Brad Miller, who was his teammate in Sacramento a few years back. He has a nice high post game, can score and rebound, and is good distributing the ball. He is getting better as well, only 4 months older then Love and has played 7100 minutes...
He has nice upside, 7 foot 1, 250 lbs, and he is unrestricted, making $4,051,024 this season playing for the Qualifying offer. He turned down the extension from Philly last year, which takes some balls.

http://www.basketball-reference.com/pla ... ssp01.html

His PER is 21.7, a 14/11 guy per 36 minutes. He'd certainly be a fine replacement for Darko at the very worst. Needs to work on his defense and foul rate, like Pek. I think he would contribute much more then any rookie center we could get in the draft, assuming we pick in the late teens.

Honestly, if I was Kahn, I'd offer Williams, Wes, Darko and Miller for Iggy and a 3 year extended Hawes. Works in the checker after March 1st ;) .
