Love's in the three point contest, bit surprising.

D-Will could be a chance for the dunk contest. They like putting rookies in and he's probably been the stand-out dunker amongst them.

Love said he thinks NBA should follow MLB's lead and give homecourt adv. in finals to All-Star winner. Thinks it would ratchet up intensity.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo about Love in the 3 point contest. More often than not, players who participate in the 3 point contest are cursed over the 2nd half of the season, especially if they make it to the finals or win. Lol. Love struggled with his 3-ball last night. Hopefully he finds it tonight.

Have the T'wolves EVER had anyone in the 3-point contest?

Love practiced 5 rounds of 3 pt shootout: 16, 19, 18, 12, 21. After last round, BMiller: "So you're sayin there's a chance."

Nope. He'll be the first.

One thing we discovered in thinking about the competition is that Love is slated to be the first-ever Wolves player to participate (link is to Wikipedia, but this fact was also confirmed by the Wolves). We're not talking about a team that has had a lot of gifted marksmen -- Wally S. and The Mayor come to mind -- but given their two-decade-plus history that was still a surprise to learn.
Just another franchise milestone, we suppose.

Nope, never. Thought Chris Carr may have been, but Wally never was.

I don't see Love fairing well in that contest.

No surprise on the GB, already hating on the Love selection. Just for the laughs, I hope Love takes this.

Morrow or Anderson take it. But obviously I'm pulling for Love.

Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine
Just going up at ESPN online: Dunk contest field is Budinger, Paul George, Shumpert and Derrick Williams. And, yes, Jeremy Lin involved, too

Lin is in the dunk contest?!

And isn't the dunk contest this year down to fan vote now?

What's the point in even holding it this year? Williams could throw down some NASTY dunks and Lin could just throw down a couple of routine, normal dunks and everyone would vote for Lin.

I absolutely would not be surprised to see KLove walk away with the 3 Pt title. He is such a fierce competitor. ...and it doesn't hurt that he likes the glory, too.

Lin will be "assisting" Shumpert, not in the dunk contest. I was wondering why there was five players.

I like how it's even a story that Lin will assist Shumpert. Every dunker has an assisted dunk so that's not really a surprise.

I don't really think of D-Will as a "contest" dunker, I could be way off, but that's just not how I view him as a dunker. I guess we'll see what he has to offer though.
