Wolves-Thunder-Nets-Blazers

Post#1 » by rugbyrugger23 » Mon Feb 20, 2012 10:45 pm

I know this trade is highly unlikely due to size, scope, and mainly OKC not trading Harden....but value wise would it work if OKC could be convinced?

Wolves IN: Harden, Batum, Ivey
Wolves OUT: DWill, Beasley, JJ (or Rid), Utah 1st Rd Pick
Why: Best true SG (Harden) next to RR and balance lineup.
PG-RR/Rid...SG-Harden/Webster...SF-Batum/Wes...PF-Love/AR...C-Pek/Darko

Thunder IN: Lopez, Beasley, Morrow
Thunder OUT: Harden, Ivey, Perkins
Why: Perkins has been a bust at starting C and Beasley/Morrow off the bench might equal Harden?
PG-RW/Jackson...SG-Sef/Morrow...SF-KD/Beasley...PF-Ibaka/Collison...C-Lopez/Nazr/Cole

Nets IN: DWill, Felton, E Williams or N Smith (Nets choose one)
Nets OUT: Lopez, Morrow, Farmar
Why: DWill has a nice fit on Nets roster and clear even more offseason cap space for 2 max contracts.
PG-Deron/Felton...SG-Brooks/Stevenson...SF-James/DWill...PF-Kris/Dwill...C-Okur/Petro

Blaz IN: Perkins, Farmar, JJ or Rid (Blaz choose one), Utah 1st Rd Pick via Wolves
Blaz OUT: Batum, Felton, E Williams
Why: Slight upgrade at PG (talent and contract), Perkins given chance to start over and earn starting center minutes, and gain a 1st rd pick.
PG-JJ/Farmar...SG-Matthews/Crawford...SF-Wallace/Luke...PF-LMA/Thomas...C-Camby/Perkins

OKC won't be moving Harden at all. Definitely not a realistic trade.

What J Rocka said...plus that's a rough one for Portland. If we could target Batum and Morrow, that might be more realistic.
Thriving on mediocrity since '89.

We get too much value for the package we're sending out. OKC won't give up Harden for that package, either. Maybe if Lopez still had his value that he had as a rookie but not after coming off a serious injury and his last season.
