Why is it that we seem to do Poorly in the first Quarter and Do really Well in the fourth Quarter?

Probably has to do with poor scouting/game-planning and lack of poise/determination during the start of the game.

Seems like they always start out shooting like 2 for 9 or 3 for 14 most nights and then they eventually start hitting their shots as the game goes on. There have been only a couple of games where they've come out hitting their shots early on.

The reason we start off slow seems obvious to me. Wes johnson literally does nothing on either end of the floor. On top of that Ridnour is undersized and if he isnt making shots he is just a liability on the floor. This is what leads us to such slow starts in my opinion.

Yeah... I think I agree. It´s obvious we allways start losing. W.Johnson is not working. Might be time for Beasley or Williams to start. I also get the feeling that the Ridnour/Rubio combination is not working that great in atack neither. Webster is not playing bad at the SG. We need another not-undersized good ball handler. Will he come before the trade line? Who were RA/Kahn thinking during the offseason that would play in that spot? Barea is too small as well... they didn´t planify it right.

Wes hit his shots at a decent rate last year. There was no reason to go into the season thinking he would suck this much. As far as anyone else moving to the starting lineup, there has been WAY too much inconsistant play from everyone. The good news is out of Wes, Webster, Beas and Williams, ALL of them have been slowly getting better recently.

As far as this topic goes, going into the All-Star break, we were on a good run of being in games from the beginning. We kicked Denvers butt to start that game (and ended up losing). We were close at the start of the game against Philly, Hou and Cha.

Is this a joke for a question or are you serious? We start Wes Johnson and Luke Ridnour....that's your reason right there night in and night out. Luke cannot cover anyone....not actual SG's and the majority of PG's in the league he cannot stay in front of. If his shot isn't dropping, he's actually worse than Wes. Wes, while being completely lost on offense....at least can guard his man pretty well. But again, if you have little to no production from your starting two and three spots....arguably the most notable scoring positions for most teams...than how on earth would one expect to start well? I want this team to make a trade in the worst way, however....Luke should not be starting. Webby and Wayne are both better candidates for the job....as they can somewhat guard the position. If you want to tell me that Luke is a savvy vet you need on the floor (which he isn't)....that's fine....but don't bring him in to start. Teams go right at Luke....and rightfully so, he's as bad or worse than any defender you find at your local gym.
