MN BOS DAL GS Potentially Fills Major Needs for All

MN
+Brandon Rush
+D McGuire (Filler)

BOS
+Lamar Odom

DAL
+Beasley
+Chris Wright (Filler)

GS
+Jermaine Oneal
+Pavlovic

MN gets Rush who will at least provide us with a real SG that can play D and shoot 3's. He expires at end of year as RFA and he should at least be a role player for us if we keep him.

Although risky, BOS gets the potential difference maker in Odom, who might change his attitude&play from having Doc and the big 4 around him

DAL gets Beasley, who could provide them with the offensive force off the bench they were seeking from Odom. They also get rid of disgruntled Odom & his contract to give them more cap for the summer.

GS gets Jermaine Oneal who should temporary fill their glaring need at center since Kwame is out for most of the year and Bierndis is a joke. Allows Marc Jackson to try and implement a winning philosophy and because Oneal expires at end of year, can abandon the plan if he gets hurt again or if Oneal isn't working.

We should be able to get Rush for less than Beasley.

I'd agree in theory but can you think of how we can offer less than Beasley for Rush that will be realistic, meet both cap figures, and meet the needs of GS?

If we imagine the trade involving just the players on GS and MN. I doubt they'd agree to trade Rush for Webster+filler, Barea, Ridnour, or Wes.

Utah owns the GS pick this year if it's above top 7 so their glaring need is shutting down ellis for a dandruff attack or sumthin and start tanking like there's no tomorrow.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

I agree with B Calrissian. I also don't see Boston biting on Odom. The guy isn't unhappy because he is in Dallas. He is unhappy because he isn't in LA. And going to a worse team that is as far away from LA as you can get isn't going to fix that.

Actually Odom reportedly favors Boston and New Jersey as destinations should he get a buyout.

It's Golden State that would object here because Jermaine O'Neal is very possibly done for the year. He's only good as an expiring contract.
