Rubio - Ridnour - Wes J - Love - Pekovic

Crawford - Batum - Wallace - Aldridge - Camby

Blazers have been struggling overall lately, but still are a good home team(13-6 is actually down some from their usual record).

I really hope we switch up the starting 5 and get a bigger 2 guard out there on Batum, otherwise Luke is going to get killed. Batum has been playing fantastic as the starting 2 guard.

This is for 3rd place in the division!!!

Ridnour on Batum... uh oh. If Adelman seriously starts Ridnour against a natural SF I'm going to start questioning his line-up choices.

I was thinking the same thing, and then realize he is a HOF coach and we are just....yes that.

It is one thing if the SG who Ridnour is going up against was a poor defender, but Batum is not. Just because he is a HOF coach doesn't mean he is always right. We have done so poorly in 1st quarters that it we have to play catch up the whole game. There was a MIT Sloan report that poor 1st quarters are just as harmful as poor 4th quarters. I don't think playing Ridnour at SG to start the game is insignificant in our poor starts.

Hey don't get me wrong, I totally agree with you. I'm just saying what the reality is. One thing I don't agree is that the poor first quarters we are having - could be attributed to Luke performance, with one or two exceptions. As much as I dislike Luke, he almost every time makes me swallow my words and plays at least decent. He is one of the most consistent player in the team.

I will be very impressed if we come out victorious here. We simply do not play well against the Blazers, and I predict tonight will be more of the same. All you can do is hope the team will play better than usual and steal one here.

If you hadn't noticed already, this game will be televised on NBA TV.

I don't think anyone has a big problem with Luke, really. It's just matchups more then anything. I'd like to see Adelman adjust to compensate for other teams lineups with more size. Luke can't guard many people anyway, but the other team can put a bigger defender and Rubio and that has slowed him down some.

More of a reason for slow starts to me seems to be Wes in the starting 5...someone like Webster who is just better at everything but jumping then Wes should be starting.

Even Barea would be a better start IMO than Ridnour. But Rubio/Webster/Beasley/Love/Pekovic would be ideal IMO. Or even start Williams at SF then change the line-up after 5 or so minutes, just get one of Beasley/Williams into the flow of the game early on.

I'm pretty excited for this matchup. Camby is a good interior defender so Pekovic might have a hard time. It'll be interesting to watch the bull. We also have two specimens facing off in Wes and Wallace. Only difference here, being, that Wallace is good and Wes isn't. Let's hope for a win.

10-3, awesome start. Feels rare when we actually start off hitting our shots.

I just hope that love can pick up his shooting percentage. 44% is just unacceptable. I know that his ts% is much better, but still.

Great start. I think those black jerseys should become our road jerseys. They seem to wear them more than the blue as it is.
