Let Rubio get up and down the court, use his creative abilities and run the offense through him (to an extent). The best we've seen of Rubio in the NBA was his rookie season, when he was playing HIS game and throwing lobs to and getting easy looks for Williams, Randolph and Wes, and making something out of nothing.

Rondo took a lot of heat for not being able to shoot his first few years. Prior to his injury, he was able to show he could score. Why not give Rubio the same benefit of the doubt and let his game mature and evolve? He'll never be a great outside shooter, but he's also never played under a coach who knows how to use him properly.

I think that teams adjusted to Rubio`s play too, that should be mentioned.

I think the crowd that touting that opponents adjusted to Rubio and play him for the pass needs to bring some evidence. So far I see that his assists per36 increased each year while his turnovers reduced. So how come it happens when everybody's grandma knows that Rubio is going to pass the damn ball ?
He didn't register a big improvement in his game but it mainly due to injury during between year 1 & 2, and Adelman in year 3. But he's finally healthy and Adelman is thankfully gone, so I'm willing to see one more year under Flip. I think anybody anticipating any significant offensive numbers will be disappointed, Rubio is still going for that pass

"If I score, only one person happy. If I pass, then two people are happy."

Not exactly word for word from the Rubester, but you get the drift...

FIBA hasn't updated the stats yet, but I think Ricky is now the tournament's leader in plus/minus with +123 in 5 games... in a little bit less than 20 mpg.

Marc Gasol seems to be second with +120 in some 26 mpg. Then there's Harden with +106 in 21.6 mpg, Faried with +103 in 21.8 mpg, and Navarro with +101 in about 21 mpg.

He's also the leader in assists per game and steals per game after tonight's outing.

Oh, and he's definitely much bigger now than he was last season.

He also almost had a fight with Markovic twice. Once after out of bounds call and second time few minutes after that but I don't know what happend that time but I really thought that Markovic was going to kick his ass but they shook hands shortly after that

International Rules? Yeah, I could see Rubio being the third or fourth best guard behind NaVarro (the best), Rudy, and maybe Calderon.

NBA Rules? No, Rubio is the best out of that group.

Even in international play, Rubio is easily their best guard. Navarro might make a case because he can shoot, but Rubio is their best ball handler, passer, play maker, and defender. Just watch the games. Every time Spain starts losing the lead a little, coach puts Rubio back in and they open it up again. Jalen seems like he hasn't watched the games.

I'd be kind of shocked to find out that any of those three has bothered to watch the games before talking about them.

It's kind of like how Bill Simmons and Zach Lowe (who I considered pretty knowledgeable) talked about the Wolves the other day, and neither of them knew how to pronounce Gorgui's name. That screams to me that 1) they didn't bother to watch any Wolves games towards the end of last year, and 2) they didn't bother to do ANY research into the team before talking about it.

Yeah, but I really believe Jalen knows alot more basketball than any of us, and he has been consistend with his critisism of Rubio(dude`s been 3 years in the NBA now, he should have educated opinion)

Basketball in general? Maybe, but not necessarily.
The NBA? Again, maybe, but not necessarily.
The Wolves and Rubio specifically? No, I really doubt it.

and he has been consistend with his critisism of Rubio

Consistent isn't the same as correct.

(dude`s been 3 years in the NBA now, he should have educated opinion)

He should. That doesn't mean that he does.
