I wanted to stick it to the fans on my way out of the organization.

We had no need for the next Toni Kukoc.

Same reason we traded the rights to Ty Lawson, Ray Allen, Brandon Roy ... I mean who needs 'em, right?

 :) :-? :x

Hindsight is foresight. We all know he should have been drafted earlier. Everyone here is a little bit more upset now than they were last year as well. My guess is Kahn probably just wanted to pay for Rambis' contract.

We did draft a ton of people that year, so our chances of drafting a decent player increasing...kind of like Chandler Parsons.

We already had Love, Williams, Randolph, Tolliver, and Beasley as guys capable of playing PF on the roster.

Now that you mention it...

We traded Flynn and Donatas Motiejunas to Houston for Parsons / Brad Miller / Mirotic and the Memphis 1st.

Traded Parsons for Cash.

Traded Mirotic for Malcolm Lee / Norris Cole / Cash.

Traded Norris Cole with cash and a future 2nd for Bojan Bogdanovic

Then traded that guy for Cash / 2nd rounder.

So we traded Flynn for the cash to fire Rambis, the Memphis 1st, Brad Miller, and Malcolm Lee....we could've had Cole and Parsons too... :x

i'm more gutted we got rid of domo personally....though i'm still gutted we could have mirotic in the wings, though he wouldn't survive his rookie season let alone training camp if pek was still on the team when he arrived...betraying montenegro is punishable by 5 hours of pek rape and limb removal by the godfather.

Mirotic probably isn't coming over for another 3 years, so this is irrelevant.

We didn't. We traded the draft pick to CHI. Since trades cannot be made official until after the draft, we selected the player Chicago wanted us to select for them.

Well that's a useless distinction. We had an opportunity to draft and keep Mirotic, instead we traded the pick.

Exactly. If we would have kept the pick, we would have just drafted a much worse player anyway. So there. :naaa:

I kind of like Malcolm Lee and cash from a GM's standpoint.

Not terribly sad we didn't pick Mirotic...

Wish we had picked-up Marshon Brooks though

Kahn liked Lee in the first round and knew he would drop to the second. He figured he could get cash in the process of trading down to target the player he wanted all along.
