How has Malcolm Lee been doing?

I've been MIA since Rubio's injury, but I still follow the Wolves..not as closely as I did when we were in the playoff hunt, I just couldn't stand to see this team lose for another season.

Anyways, i'm a big rookie fan and I still keep tabs on D-Will from time to time (A little disappointed), but how has Malcolm Lee been for us this year? I only saw the Suns game that was on ESPN 2 and I remember him taking it to the rack a couple times and I was impressed.

So please, answer these questions for me if you don't mind:

1. What are your impressions of Lee so far?

2. Is he a player you can see being in the rotation next year or better yet, a key contributor to our team?

3. Can you see what Adelman was talking about when he came away impressed with Lee's defense or is the sample size still too small?

4. What do you think is his best skill?

5. Any additional comments about him?

I love his game. I think hes better off the ball both offensively and defensively, but hes done a decent job at the point with all the injuries. I think hes definitely in the rotation next year.

Hasn't done enough (or played enough) to judge either way. He's made enough good plays to make you think he was probably worth signing, but enough mistakes to make you hedge your bets. Doesn't look like he has any sort of a jump shot, but otherwise the mistakes might just be due to no preseason or summer games, and coming off the injury.

I like him. He's quick defensively and has looked ok running the point. With more seasoning he will probably be a good guy to have coming off the bench

I think he's going to be a solid combo guard who can defend both positions very well and doesn't hurt you offensively. Likely he become's a solid 8th man off the bench in a couple years, with an outside chance of being a solid starter after some seasoning.

If he develops 3 point range, definitely a starter.

I haven't seen many Wolves games lately, (un)fortunately but whenever I watched a game and Lee got a few minutes, I thought he looked okay.

Defensively he looked above average, getting a few steals and blocks here and there while not getting burnt by his opponent (mostly bench players, though). Offensively, he hit a few open shots or took it to the rack nicely from time to time but overall he's looked a bit lost trying to be a true point guard. Maybe he needs some time to adjust but ultimately he'll probably end up being a 15+ combo guard off the bench. A slightly better Wayne Ellington overall, I'd say. Not quite the shooter Wayne is but better overall because he has a better and more complete skill-set.

Honestly, it's been hard to judge him. Pretty good defender for a rookie, good athleticism, not very good jumper at all and below average PG skills. He should be playing SG but injuries have made him play PG.

yeh ... nice role player, defensively. One area we are desperate for some improvement. Offensively, it's hard to say until we see him more in the SG spot, but I think he has some upside there. Hit some 3's and get to the free-throw line ... pretty simple knowing he can play defense.
