Its looking like your not going to resign him next year. As a Sixers fan I feel like he could be an intreguing pickup. Offensive minded scorer, who would be surrounded by great defenders. Dont get a chance to watch a lot of Twolves games so im looking for honest in depth evaluations and opinions on all aspects of him and Anthony Randolphs game. Thanks

Well if 76ers are interested. Sign & Trade + 15th pick would be nice. I don't like him at all. He isn't very efficient and needs to have a high usage rate to be so. Randolph could be very good though

In offense:
30% of the time he´s unstoppable. Awesome
70% of the time he damages the team, stopping the ball and taking contested long jump shots (although it´s remarkable that he manages to makes a lot of them).

In defense:
70% of the time he seems to not care
30% of the time he tries too hard and makes unnecesary fauls

In general:
they say he´s problematic but all I´ve seen so far from him was a great personality, nice teammate and a guy loved by everybody.

Those moments when he looks so nice are the ones that make you think about his potential, it´s a risky shot if the price is high but below 6M is a no brainer to me.

I don't think his effort is low but his effort doesn't lead to anything because he's forcing things on offense too much and struggling on D because he's not a good defender.

He takes long jumpers and isn't a good defender. If his jumpers are going in, he looks like a star. If they aren't, he looks like a chucker. That's pretty much what you'll get with him.

If I were the Sixers, I'd give him a miss. He doesn't fit that team first mentality they have there.

He's the best wing that this team has.

And he's not really a wing.

He's a gym rat, demonstrably evolving his game. I don't know where this bad body language stuff is coming from, he was frozen out all year by the coaching staff and always remained positive to his teammates and engaged in the games. A flawed player, but still a good pick-up.

Beasley seems to desperately want to come back to Minnesota. I think if he give us a discounted price on his contract that we may see him back. Beasley continues to publicly state he wants to come back, before he was saying that I didn't think he had any shot at being re-signed.

I agree, I'm fairly certain Beas resigns or gets matched unless he receives a huge offer from another team.

Not a bad summation.

I'll say this. Beasley is the guy who has spawned some of the most passionate debates on this board, with lots of good arguments being made for and against him.

He certainly has a lot of talent, and if he ever puts it together reliably he's going to make whoever stuck with him really proud. He is immensely likable and a very passionate player. I think the biggest thing is that he gets out of his zone and has a hard time getting back into a groove. He made some real progress in playing a more supporting role when his shot wasn't falling this year, but he also still had a lot of really poor games.

Even on the best of nights he is a really low-efficiency shooter. Because of this people say he doesn't pass the ball. The thing is, he does pass the ball, he just also takes a lot of shots.

Overall, I think he'd be an interesting pickup for Philly. The 6ers could use someone with his dynamic offensive capabilities.

Yea that's the problem with us (the Sixers) we have a bunch of team first role players. Good players no doubt but no real scoring punch. Lou Williams isn't getting resigned..and as fans were rejoicing. If we trade up for Drummond in the draft that still doesn't give us a dominant scorer. Were not going to get someone at our other draft position to drop 15 a game. Batum is going to get matched. Humphries is a bum and will get overpaid. Ersan Ilyosova is the only other guy I go after in FA besides Beasley, but still 2 years older and not the scorer Beasley is..more of a complete player.

You know Jordan Hill would make a lot of sense for you guys in a S and T.

Yeah, I lke Hill as our backup big behind Love and Pek if he can be had for 4 mil per year max.

That's the conundrum we have in L.A.

We're trying to figure out how to improve the team and moving Bynum/Gasol isn't a laughing matter. Huge trades don't happen nearly as often as people think especially when a guy isn't bringing him his rightful value (as you felt with Beasley, although that was on a lesser level).

How would McRoberts+a first be as another offer? McRoberts salary is 3m and is only one year as opposed to Blake who was 2 and another 8m for a first round pick.

If the Lakers want Beasley, they're probably going to have to sign him with their MLE. I don't think that a really late 1st (when the team wants to get older anyway) will convince the team to take on any salary.

What I do like about Beasley is that I really am convinced he wants to be great. I hear he is always in the gym trying to improve. Work ethic isn't a problem. One day I think things will click and I don't know if he will be a star but I am pretty confident he will be a reliable good scorer.

Despite how much he wants to come back I just don't see it in the cards. The only way would probably be a 6th man role and I don't think he will take that. A team like the Sixers may be a good fit. They need a go to scorer and although Beasley isn't there yet, he may be in a couple of years.

I think the Lakers would also be good for him because he will be surrounded by an atmosphere of greatness and he may be able to absorb a lot of that. As long as he stays positive and gets a lot of room to fail, I think he will be alright. Problem is a team like the Sixers may not have luxury of working with him if he has another off stretch. The Wolves are already tired of it in my estimation.

He might have to go to an elite team that can afford to bring him along at a regulated pace or he may need to be back on another lottery team that will let him play through it all.
