Braondon Roy Comeback?

Roy tweeted that hes working toward a comeback.
I'm hoping Wolves try to sign him but I'm curious what the fair price would be considering he doesn't have knees.
Totally dependent on what else we do in off-season but would he be starter, 6th man, or role player?

Probably better than our current wings, doesn't matter, he'd be better than what we have.

We could pretty much agree to do whatever he was comfortable doing. He's easily a talent upgrade, but I don't think he'd play heavy minutes every night though.

It might be worth giving him a look, but he was real bad the last few months of his career. His knees, if I understand right, aren't going to heal either, so I'd have to question whether he would be able to play at all, or if he'd come back and last a week before retiring again.

I'm pretty sure he's just going to play for a contender since not too many teams are going to risk a big contract.

What was the story about his knees again? He has no ACL/MCLs right? I think I read somewhere that one of his doctors said he shouldn't play basketball again, let alone professionally because he might end up not walking altogether when he's older. While I really admire his passion for the game I'd feel bad if he actually ended up in a wheelchair. Not that I'd feel responsible for his decisions but it would still leave a feeling of bad conscience.

15 minutes of Roy a game would be far better than anything we have right now.

I think he's been watching too many Gatorade/Nike commercials.

If it were 15 minutes of the old Roy, not the Roy with the knees of a 70 year old.

I hope he stays retired, for the sake of his health. Or maybe he needs the money, you never know.

He got amnestied so he's getting all 84 million of his deal. I really doubt he needs $$$.

It's going to take one hard shot going to the hole or getting clipped by a screen, and his 1-2 week injury will turn into 4-6 weeks and so on. I'd bet money he could come out for the first week or two, having his body rest an entire year, and light people up. Make people ask " why did he ever leave", but I'd bet a lot of money that doesn't last very long. He's perfect for a Miami or a SA team who's built to win now, but doesn't need a heavy dose of his talent, rather just spot minutes here and there. Personally, I don't even think it will be a hard blow that knocks him back in retirement, but rather just an entire season. Unless he's going to Phoenix, I wouldn't trust he makes it an entire year, even if he's only playing 15-20mpg.
But yes, he's better than what we currently have. But to remind people, we have JJ Barea, Wayne Ellington, Martell Webster, and Malcolm Lee.

only makes sense if the wolves join a wheel-chair league.

Brandon Roy would be a solid signing for around 2- 4.5mill.. 5mill TOPS given his injury problems..
i wouldnt mind signing Roy to be our 6th man.
