Mn-Portland trade

Post#1 » by black bart » Sun Jun 24, 2012 4:48 pm

This isn't probable but here is my draft for fun:

Portland Trailblazers draft Damian Lillard 6th pick and Jeremy Lamb 11th Pick
Minnesota Drafts 18th pick-Tyler Zeller

Minnesotta trades 18th pick + Derrick Williams + Memphis first 2013 for Jeremy Lamb and S&T Batum at 9 million

Minnesotta
Rubio/JJ/Lee
Lamb/Ridnour
Batum/Wesley Johnson
Love/Anthony Randolph
Pek/Anthony Randolph/Love

I don't think Zeller makes it that far but if this situation was to occur I would like this deal a lot.

I could be wrong, but in S&T deals, the player being signed and traded must be the only player being sent out, so in this case, Batum could not be included in a deal with any other players being sent out from Portland. He could be traded for multiple players, but he himself cannot be a part of a package.

Even if that's true he could be traded with their draft rights.
....But I'm pretty sure that's not true. You can combine players salaries in sign-and-trade and extend-and-trades.
