Beasley May Have Received QO

According to a "rumor" on ESPN, notable players who did not receive a QO are:
Cory Higgins [Bobcats]
D.J. White [Bobcats]
Vernon Macklin [Pistons]
Mickell Gladness [Warriors]
Chris Wright [Warriors]
Terrel Harris [Heat]
Sundiata Gaines [Nets]
Armon Johnson [Nets]
Alan Anderson [Raptors]
Ben Uzoh [Raptors]
Blake Ahearn [Jazz]
Morris Almond [Wizards]
Was I mistaken to think we were going to let Beasley go?
Is that old news?

Those are players who have been notified already or aren't likely to receive. OJ Mayo isn't on that list. It isn't all-inclusive or the definitive list.

That certainly is interesting. Can you trade a QO?

I wouldn't be surprised either way. If we don't QO we want the cap-space, if we do it is likely there will be a S&T.
Really this depends on whether the Lakers want him or not.

If its a S/T deal

I think it's pretty obvious they want him. You don't jam cap space at the beginning of FA like that for Beasley.

List means nothing. Unless there is some deal set in place that totally depletes our wings, Beasley is done. Every indication is that the wolves have given up on him.

That's a very good avatar, nice.
I think it means he's a trade asset. If he were to accept it would be in the interest of all parties in the case of a S and T as L.A. would have time to evaluate him, Minnesota would be rid of him, and give Beasley a chance to make more money.

Players on a QO who are traded
1) Lose their Bird rights
2) Have to approve any trade
It makes zero sense to extend a QO to Beasley as preparation for a trade.

Is Beasley's qualifying offer in the 8 million range or 4 million? because I heard that there was a condition where a lottery players qualifying offer could be significantly reduced if they only started a select few number of games. Beasley started at the start of this season before he picked up the injuries and was made a sixth man, but he did start a lot of games last season.

You can retract the QO at anytime if he doesn't sign it.

Jerry Zgoda @JerryZgoda
The Wolves are not making qualifying offers to either Beasley or Randolph, as expected. They'll become unrestrictive free agents.
Jon Krawczynski @APkrawczynski
Correction on last tweet: No offers to Beasley or Randolph. Deadlines extended for Miller and Webster. Sorry about that
Edit:
I'm fairly certain that this also means that Beasley can't be used in a Gasol trade.

Yep.
Jon Krawczynski @APkrawczynski
Extending the deadlines on Miller and Webster allows #TWolves to continue exploring trade options for them.
Jerry Zgoda @JerryZgoda
Wolves reached agreements with Martell and Miller, extending dates to pick up team options into July while they continue to work on trades

I'm surprised Martell would agree on that. I would think that if I was about to become a free agent I would want to start negotiating with teams before the teams use their money on other players

thats actually **** HUGE...they would have had to be waived today and therefore useless...now they can be pretty big assets for teams looking to shed salary.

Unless he doesn't think he is going to get ~$5 mil back in salary next year and thinks the Wolves could trade him to a team that may not buy him out. That or perhaps the Wolves keep him after all if they can find a suitor. Webster is a solid player when healthy, able to provide a steady presence at either SG or SF.
