I didn't see a trade thread, so please redirect if this doesn't need it's own thread.

I've been hearing more and more of us being "okay" with the idea of adding Pau Gasol. We might be giving up too much here, but tell me if you'd do it if it meant facilitating Dwight to the Lakers.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7wbegyd

MN out: Webster, Miller, D. Williams, Wes Johnson, JJ Barea, Ellington
MN in: Pau Gasol and JJ Redick

Rubio/Ridnour/Lee
JJ Redick
Batum/Budinger/Hummel
Love
Gasol/Pek

Wolves are super thin, but we get some highly coveted pieces. S&T Beasley for another SG or PF. The hole in this logic is if we need to give up Ridnour for Batum we'd need another PG until Rubio comes back. I guess the major question is if losing Derrick Williams is worth Pau Gasol's enormous contract.

--------------------------
LA out: Andrew Bynum, Pau Gasol
LA in: Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkoglu, JJ Barea

LA gets a PG in JJ, and has to take the Hedo contract for a 1 year chance with Dwight.

--------------------------
ORL out: Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkoglu, JJ Redick
ORL in: Bynum, D. Williams, Wes Johnson, Webster, Miller, Ellington

I think Bynum and D. Will is a great haul for Dwight. They can shore up some funds my waiving Webster and Miller. Some picks from LA can be added for filler (if they have any).

Pretty sure you can't get Batum without first waiving Webster and Miller, thus they wouldn't be available in a trade.

Yep, we'd need to do a S&T for Batum, and then couldn't afford to take back JJ Redick without being in the tax. The salaries on the trade checker are all wrong as well, those are last years.

We could toss Barea/Ellington in there for Redick, something like that would work, but no Pau. Or Pau and Redick, but no Batum.

Dump his salary, they buy out Webster/Miller in my trade hypothetical, if they could somehow dump MWP on someone, they COULD hypothetically go after CP3 to pair with Kobe and D12

That obviously wouldn't happen, but I'd love for it too. I figured we'd have to send Orlando 2 1st's and the Lakers one 1st in that move
