Which combo would you rather roll with on the team?
I was going to put salaries, but Batum & Lee currently do not have contracts, so just choose which combo would be better for the teamStats: (All averages are from 11-12 season)
Batum (Age 22): 13.9 ppg / 4.6 rpg / 1.4 apg / 1.0 spg / 1.0 bpg / 1.5 TO --- .45% FG - .39% 3PT - .83% FT

Lee (Age 26): 11.4 ppg / 2.7 rpg / 1.5 apg / 1.2 spg / 0.4 bpg / 1.1 TO --- .43% FG - .40% 3PT - .82% FT

As a Iggy fan, I'll take Batum for our squad. Iggy will be a great plan B though.

Since the question is simply who is better for the team, I would choose Iguodala and Lee. My answer would be different if we factored their salary and age.

I really hope they have something in place to get Iggy if Portland matches

Iggy is the player I want more than any of the UFAs or RFAs I've heard of. If he can share minutes at the wing with Roy/Bud our team would be incredibly dynamic. I'm hoping Batum works out because there is no guarantee of an Iggy, but I'd prefer an IA deal.
I disagree that Batum is the better fit.

Batum and DW are both SF's on Minny so this combo doesn't make much sense to me. Regardless, I'd rather have C.Lee ($6M)/Batum via SnT ($11M)/D.Will.

Derrick Williams has been in Valladolid (my city

) yesterday and here are some pictures of him. I really think he´s lost some weight, but I´m not sure how much:

Neither because that is not how it would work.
To get Batum, it may cost Williams, to get Iggy it should not. Also, breaking things down to this low of a level neglect to show the other improvements which could be made through a Batum S&T if it were to happen vs trading for Iggy. Mobility and improvement wise Batum is the first option. There could be situations where we could even get Batum and Lee, though it would take some work and good fortune.

Batum & DW ... with Roy being signed and potentially adding Shved to help at SG would be key here. Batum is a very "nicely skilled" player and I want to see how DW responds with a complete off-season and training camp with Adelman.
Iggy/Lee ... Iggy has always seemed like he would be our #1 target since Love and him played on Team USA together ... he's a youthful veteran that has the passing, rebounding, and defense we need. I dont have enough confidence in Lee to make him our starting SG.

Batu = SG/SF
Williams = SF/PF

Folks I think we're missing the whole point of the salary cap in the NBA. In a vacuum you can say that Iggy and Lee are betters combined than Batum and DWill, but we have this thing called the salary cap that makes acquiring both a littler more complicated than just acquiring Batum.
The numbers I'm hearing for year one for Batum are around 10.6M and DWill is at 4.9M this year I believe for a total of 15.5M. Iggy alone is 14.7M this year. I haven't seen any real numbers thrown around for Lee as of yet, but I have a hard time believing that he'll make something outside of 4-6M on his new deal. That puts Iggy and Lee at around 19-21M. We would now have to shed an additional player to make this happen. We still have our mini-MLE, but we have a really thin roster and nothing but the vet minimum to use to add depth. I would rather have another 4M to use on our depth.
Let's also not forget about where these guys are at in their careers. We aren't ready to compete for a title next year, so that wipes out 50% of our contract length with Iggy. Add in that Batum will be younger than Iggy is today AT THE END of the 4-year contract we offered him. Batum's scoring average, rebounding, blocks, and steals were all career highs last year while Iggy has seen his scoring drop 4 consecutive years. Do I want 4 years of a young player in the incline or 2 years of a player on the decline, who also makes 4M a year more? I don't see the comparison.
The more appropriate (and even possible) option, is Batum AND Lee - that's something we could actually make happen without having trade 5 or 6 guys currently under contract.
