Kings fan here

Post#1 » by mccaffertyd » Wed Jul 11, 2012 8:49 pm

Personally I'd like to start off by saying that I absolutely love some of the moves you guys have made this offseason and can definitely see you guys making a huge stride next year and be in that 7-8 seed range towards the end of the year. That being said, I was interested in knowing what you guys think we would have to give up to get wes johnson? You guys basically took our #1 option at sf in the free agent market this summer (assuming our penny pinching owners would shell out a dime to actually, go figure, win. Wes Johnson basically seems like a decent alternative.

I know Thomas Robinson was taken a little later in the draft than Wes, but we'd probably swap Wes for him.

I think the fans value Johnson less than the front office does.

That said, how about Chuck Hayes for Johnson, Ellington, and Darko?
Clears up cap space for the Wolves and Darko/Ellington are 1 year stopgaps. I don't know if there is anyone worth signing with that cap space for Sacto right now, so I figured you'd be better off just adding a few pieces, getting another top pick, and going nuts next year salary wise.

He can be yours for cap space if you have it.

Wes for cap-space plus a heavily protected 1st. Something like top-20 in 2013, top-16 in 2014, top-12 in 2015, top-8 in 2016 and if not conveyed by then a 2nd in 2016 & 2017.

i'd be happy with the retroactive rights to Oliver Miller and Stanley Roberts

We're looking for a Center and/or cap space. How about Hassan Whiteside and an unprotected 2nd round draft pick?

Contrary to popular belief, Hassan Whiteside does not in fact have a white side. No deal.

I don't know. They do have pictures of him on the internets.
Plus, we have that Israeli kid. That's like a mega-bonus for Kahn.
