They're bound to make the post-season with that amount of talent. They will go on some runs later on. Assuming they stay moderately healthy.

But it's funny to watch them struggle.

The question is are they really that talented? Their bench looking average at the very best. Pau Gasol is playing terrible as of right now and they have a huge problem defensively. Nobody but Dwight Howard and maybe Jordan Hill is an above average defender on their position.

Defensively they might be one of the 5 worst teams of the league under D'Antoni. Add in that his coach style suits basically nobody on this team other than an over the hill Steve Nash.

Gasol, Ron, Kobe and Nash are simply too old for a run & gun team. They need to play in a good halfcourt offense rather than this run and gun crap.

They also had a rather home heavy schedule up until now with 13 home games and 8 away games. Barely over .500 at home and .25 on the road.

Without further pickups I think they're a 7 seed at best right now and could very well even miss the playoffs.

Seems like Turner is flirting with triple doubles every game.

Lin is lighting up the Spurs without Harden in the lineup.

I'd take Ben McLemore right now, even with zero NBA experience.

Raptors are crumbling like crazy. Bargs goes down with an injury, Amir Johnson starts going after refs, meltdown city. Heads are going to roll soon barring a drastic change for the better.

OKC even has the rights to Toronto's 2013 pick as long as it isn't in the top 3. Toronto has the second worst record in the NBA.

That's ridiculous. If you read their board, it's pretty funny, people have completely lost it.

I'd bet my house on Toronto finishing with the fourth worst record then.

I don't see a stern fix this year. No clear #1, so there isn't a real reason to.

One thing he usually gets criticized for is the lack of rings on his hands. This is kinda true but when you consider which teams he ran into as a HC during the playoffs, particularly when his teams were contenders, it could be just bad luck.

Question: Does Reggie Miller get criticized for lack of rings? Karl Malone? John Stockton?

You and your technicalities. Just because those players, along with Charles Barkley, are discussed and/or critiqued because of their lack of championships throughout the season every season, and even more frequently in the playoffs, you just had to do it.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

To clarify: We always hear how Adelman is overrated because he hasn't won anything. Were those players considered overrated? No.

Actually yes. Some people consider them overrated, cause they didn't win any chips.

I've never bought into the ring argument as much as most people. Stockton and Malone, for example, were great players. Their teams won 74% of their games over a five year period and those teams were not that deep. Stockton, Malone, Hornacek, Russell, Ostertag, bunch of scrubs basically. They went to the finals two years in a row and lost to Jordan/Pippen/Kukoc/Rodman. All that tells me is Jordan is greater than them. Well, yeah, he was. Doesn't mean Malone wasn't great himself.
