Trade for Utah Jazz Burks? Any thing with D Will possible?

Rumor is Jazz might trade Burks.
He is in the top 15% for getting to the foul line. Burks had a lot of very good games last year, including scoring 15 in the 4th quarter in a win against the Lakers.
He is not getting played much this year.
Is there any trade with Burks and DerrWill that are acceptable to you. Straight up is not quite equal.
Burks was the 12th pick. DWill was the 2nd.
Since you need a guard and scoring....can you make any fair offer for Burks?
Maybe Burks and a pick for DWILL?

I'd do Derrick Williams/Ridnour for Mo Williams/Burks

I like it. Shved/Burks, very nice young duo.
When Rubio & Barea are healthy, not sure where Mo Williams comes into play, but he's definitely an upgrade over Ridnour. Could always flip Mo or JJ as well.

I think Mo comes in as an expiring to clear cap-space for Pek & Bud next year as well as a scoring presence off the bench when Rubio comes back.

He's too good of a player to be our 3rd PG. He would bitch about getting limited time and could bring a negative attitude around because of that. Assuming Shved & Burks split time at SG, someone would be limited.

He's their starting point guard, if I'm not mistaken, why would they trade him for Luke?

If you want to combine Burks with someone, UTA is one of the few teams in the NBA that has a lot of quality big men.

The reason that Utah is open to trading Burks is because he's been incredibly awful so far this season. Much worse than D-Will, who has been merely bad.
edit:

A negative PER (-7.1), terrible TS% (18.2%), awful WS/48 (-0.234), is shooting 40% at the rim (league average is around 66%), hasn't made a single shot between 3 and 15 feet, and hasn't made a 3-pointer. And he's also been really bad on D (111 DRating, the worst on his team).

Burks can go kick rocks, i want Mo Williams. With Roy unable to do anything, we're short one on-court veteran leader. I'd prefer Andre Miller or Jet Terry, but they aren't attainable, Mo could potentially be since he's an impending FA.
When I see how Kidd and Sheed have gotten the Knicks focused, I'm jealous. Thats two of the smartest BBIQ guys you can get and they paid peanuts for them. Wolves don't have that luxury of being a destination for such guys, but we still some more vet(s). DWill, you're out. Mo, you're in.

Realistically I think they'll eventually move Al Jeff to open more playing time for Favors, Kanter and Millsap maybe using Burks as a sweetener in the deal along with Jefferson to bring in a stud backcourt player.

I think once we get healthy a deal of Williams, Ridnour, Barea for Burks, Williams, Bell might work.
Rubio/Williams/Lee
Shved/Burks/Bell/Roy
AK47/Budinger/Howard
Love/Cunningham
Pek/Steimsma/Amundson
That gives us a good back up point guard for the rest of the year, and a big expiring to resign our players. We get another future SG and a vet SG in Burks and Bell, with Bell expiring.
Ridnour/Barea
Hayward/Foye
Williams/Hayward
Milsap/Kanter
Jefferson/Favors

Jazz fan here. I'd do that s*** in a heartbeat. Mo has been an upgrade from Devin Harris, but he doesn't fit our system very well. He launches up way too many 3s for my taste. I wouldn't exactly call him a chucker, but he doesn't really fit Jazz type basketball. He is a great shooter though for sure.
As for Burks, I love that kid. And you can totally ignore the negative PER this year. He's definitely in the doghouse, and doesn't look like he'll get out of there anytime soon. I think the negative PER is totally reflective of his disappointment in not being in the rotation. I wouldn't say he is a cancer, or has a bad attitude. He's just young, and probably pouting a bit. Last year, we all saw flashes of brilliance from him. That dude knows how to get to the foul line. And he's so damn athletic. More of a smooth athleticism than a straight up freak type athlete. But he can definitely get above the rim nonetheless. He also has this borderline cocky swagger about him that I love. It's not selfish in any way, he just is very confident. Absolutely fearless for a 21 year old.
I think this trade would be a typical change of scenery type deal. Especially for Burks and D-Will. I think it would benefit both greatly. Burks would flourish in Rick's system. He's the type of kid that needs the rock in his hands, and create.
So has D-Will shown ANY signs of being able to play the 3? Or is that out of the realm of possibility?

[quote="Hambone93"]Derrick williams for Derrick Favors. Straight up.
Haha. Jazz say NO WAY.
Jazz management overvalues Favors, but he has great defense and 7'5 wingspan. Favors jumper is not good and if he is not within 10 feet of the backet he shoots a low percentage, but per 100 possessions the opponent gets 95 points when he is playing....a difference maker on defense. Sorry, no trade.
DWIll does not play the position the Jazz want.....we already have tweeners, but I like his talent and would bet that he has a good career...scoring 15 pts and 8 rebs a game.

I don't care for Mo Williams on this team. I do think he is more of a ball-centric guard who'll take the ball out of Rubio/Shved's hands and will pass on getting the ball to Love & Pek in favor of getting his own shots.

i dont know that he's shown many signs at sf or pf, but his best game was at SF I suppose; last year against Gerald Wallace. He was taking him off the dribble and hitting the outside shot. His problems are 1/2 confidence and 1/2 BBIQ; he doesn't know where to be, he doesn't know how to attack mismatches, and his outside shot is streaky and inconsistent. If Corbin is a player development coach or the type that likes to work their player/coach relationship, it might be a good match. Adelman is all business, he's there to teach his system and expects the players to be ready to learn and play the way he teaches.
