Just have a few questions about our idiotic coach. I've heard that when he was your coach back in the day, he had questionable rotations and gave players that did not deserve to be on the floor too much playing time.

Can you provide some examples of his head-scratching substitutions/moves?

It's far too long to remember actual details but I'm pretty sure I and pretty much everyone who was posting on this board back then was constantly criticizing his rotations. I have no examples, though, because I'm glad I erased some of the memories from back then. Our roster was awful, save for KG obviously.

Overall he was a decent coach who happened to lack experience. His x & o's were rather bad, too, if I recall correctly.

i dont remember his rotations, probably people wanted him to play bracey wright instead of trenton hassell or something. Pretty much every coach is like that though; there's some random veteran the coach luvs who knows the playbook, but can't shoot or score so everybody is fed up with him because there's some young buck on the team who had a decent preseason game or something and they want to see him play instead. What I do remember about Casey was his uninspiring end of game playcalling; we'd be down to a last shot situation with a couple seconds and waiting for some genius play and what we'd get is KG meeting the inbounder 35 feet from the basket for a ridiculous shot attempt. I dont know how much of that was on him and how much of that was having guys like Ricky Davis, Blount, and McCants involved, but it became an expected fail in any sideline playcalling situations.

Casey's a good coach.

Calderon's a good point guard.

I still think Mike James and Ricky Davis will be our new Cassell/Sprewell. You guys are hyping this Rubio character too much.

I remember being upset he wouldn't play Eddie Griffin, it turned out Eddie was coming to practice drunk. I also remember thinking we were underachieving, in hindsight were probably overachieving.

As we learned from the Eddie Griffin driving his SUV while watching porno and knocking one out, the man could multitask. Being drunk and practicing? Pfft.

The team was 20-20 with him. Went 12-30 after his firing.

CAsey wasn't perfect. People definitely did not like his rotations. I wasn't one of the vocal complainers but there were times I was scratching my head. He did not draw up the best plays on occasion either. With that said he did a lot of good for the team and seemed like he needed experience and a better roster to really grow. Raptors fans need to be a little more patient. Unless they have some bonafide improvement coming in, give the guy team and get some better players. The defense of some players on that team wouldn't be helped by any coach.

Casey was good at making individual players better especially defensively, but his philosphy, like most coaches, needs the proper combination of talent to succeed. Toronto is a bad fit as we were when he was here. He needs a group of players like the Pistons had recently in their latest championship team. Athletic guys who play great defense and take care of the ball. He'll make your team better, but eventually you'll need a better fit, someone with more offensive imagination and looser reign on your scorers.
