The sourse, apparently, is David Aldridge on ESPN TV.

Marca isnĀ“t the most reliable source for NBA news, so is any talking about this on USA? Is there any chance for the trade?

Being Spanish, I would love to watch Ricky and Pau together.

See in the "Nobody asked me but" section
Again: I have no information -- none -- that the Lakers are contemplating trading Gasol, or are entertaining or seeking offers for Gasol. This is pure speculation, not information or even rumor. This is me thinking out loud.
In this (imaginary) deal, Washington would send second-year forward Chris Singleton and former Laker Trevor Ariza to the Lakers, who would also get guards Luke Ridnour and J.J. Barea from Minnesota. The Wizards and Wolves would, essentially, swap 2011 Lottery picks about which both are quite uncertain, with Washington's Jan Vesely going to Minnesota and Minnesota's Derrick Williams going to Washington, along with center Nikola Pekovic. Guard Chris Duhon would go from the Lakers to Wizards to make the trade work cap-wise.

Pure speculation.

Haha, so Minnesota is going to send it's starting C, both of it's backup PGs (without even knowing how Rubio is going to play), and Williams to fill a position that doesn't need to be filled? Dave, just stop thinking out loud, k?

C'mon. It is Pau and Kim English for Barea, D-Will and Pek.

Barea es very limited and expensive. Either him or Ridnour must go. English can be very good and Ridnour can play his 10-20 min. Done.

D-Will seems to be a case closed. He needs another team to see if his brain is unleashed and can perform at his pre-NBA level. Or perhaps what we see is his limit. Who knows.

Pek was the bench man of Darko. He had a great session, is a beast and there are few C like him. But he will not ever be better than the little Gasol. And the big Gasol playing C is better than Pekovic. And will be for 2-3 years.

Ricky, Shved, AK47, Love, Pau. Very good teem. Three good defenders and two non-existent defenders. But they would be one of the funniest team to see in offense.

Money? If Pau takes a salary cut for next year (let's say be paid 8-10 Millions) then it is possible (Pek would have taken 8 or so), Barea is being paid 6 millions that are saved. Pau would accept it? If he has fun and the team is getting in the play-offs, why not?

Maybe Pau and his bum knees for DWill, straight up. Maybe. Not sure I'd want to bring Pek off the bench though.

I don't think that's even possible under the CBA.

Correct.

Amazing someone could call Barea "expensive" at $4.6 mil, when Pau Gasol makes $19 million.

Just curious what do you think Pau would be worth if he was his old self (19/10, 55% FG, plus assists, above average rebounding, above average shot-blocker)? Let's say to a team that needs a C.

There has been hundreds of Pau rumours over the past couple of years and they're not getting any more believable.
