Re: Minnesota Timberwolves Cap Space Reference Chart
So I sorted that link and we have the 4th most projected cap space this offseason?
"a poor addition to the board"

Note: Hill's contract would become guaranteed if he's still on the roster 10 days from now.
Wow! I'm surprised by the great deal we have Bjelica on. In thought he was making 8 a year.

I believe he's on his rookie contract still which is why it's so little.

He stayed overseas long enough that he didn't sign on the rookie scale. His current contract was what Flip negotiated, I was surprised at the time at how little he got.

I think the Tyus Jones team option and qualifying offer numbers are wrong. Hoopshype has them as 2,444,052 and 3,573,204

They are. Not sure what happened there.

So the trade cost us like $10M in cap space, maybe a little less.

Re: Minnesota Timberwolves Cap Space Reference Chart
So, assuming we bring back none of the free agents and release Hill we're at $76M by my count. And that's only for 9 guys. We need a sucker to take Cole.

Wolves Cap Situation with Ricky out/Teague In
The "Cap Situation" with Rubio going to Utah for OKC's Lottery Protected First Round Pick (if not delivered by 2020, then becomes OKC's 2020 and 2021 2nd Round Picks)
$33,504,327 Cap Space if renounce rights to Shabazz Muhammad
$25,888,579 cap space if make one year $4,187,599 qualifying offer to Shabazz Muhammad (gives right to match any offer).
Trade Cole Aldrich and increase both of the above cap room numbers by $7,300,000
In practical terms, the Wolves make the Qualifying Offer to Shabazz Muhammad,
negotiate with free agents, and if they have the guys (Teague + Wing) they want willing to sign,
they Withdraw the Qualifying Offer to Muhammad and use the extra cap space to sign someone in addition to Teague.
If Teague ends up with $57 million over 3 years that is like 19M of their cap space, they still have $14.5 million for another Top Free Agent plus the Room MLE of $4.328 Million
If the Wolves can't get the Wing they want they can always re-sign Shabazz Muhammad and still have about $6,888,579 of Cap Space plus the Room MLE
The Depth Chart Looks something like:
Center: Towns, Aldrich, Patton (Patton may make Aldrich expendable)
PF: Dieng, Bjelica
SF: Butler, Muhammad or Top Free Agent, Minimum Contract
SG: Wiggins, Room MLE
PG: Teague, Jones, Minimum Contract
That's 13 guys. Leaves room for G League call-ups or buyout candidates around the end of February to join team.
Butler is 6' 6" but more powerfully built than Wiggins so Butler may be more suited for SF while Wiggins may be more suited for SG.
For reference purposes, here are the Pre-Draft Measurements of the Wolves Players WITHOUT SHOES
6' 10.25" Karl Anthony Towns
6' 10" Justin Patton
No Official Measurement for Nemanja Bjelica, but seems about 6' 10"
6' 9.75" Gorgui Dieng
6' 9" Cole Aldrich
No Official Measurement for Andrew Wiggins but seems about 6' 7"
6' 6" Jimmy Butler
6' 4.75" Shabazz Muhammad (Restricted Free Agent)
6' 0.25" Jeff Teague
6' 0.25 Tyus Jones
