It sounds like he will be the pick at #1 (hopefully). I figure this will serve as a cool place to post some stuff before the draft and to talk about his progress going forward.
If you haven't gotten the chance to watch KAT and you aren't quite sold on his potential there are videos below to get caught up on his progress to this point.

All of these vids are from this awesome channel:

This post just about made my phone explode, haha. If you could put a spoiler around each block of maybe five videos (or even around the whole thing) that would be awesome.
I am very excited about Karl Anthony-Towns, he feels like the perfect complimentary piece to this team and is a very high character individual.
Ricky Rubio/
Andrew Wiggins/Zach LaVine
Shabazz Muhammad/
Kevin Garnett/Anthony Bennett/Adreian Payne
Karl Anthony-Towns/Gorgui Dieng
That is an awesome young roster to build around (I added the ninety year old KG in their because it would be disrespectful not to do so, haha). I wish we would not trade Nemanja Bjelica, but sadly the writing is on the wall. I wish we would trade Kevin Martin, but I like Nikola on the roster at twenty minutes a game, he really ties things together off of the bench.

You deserve a +1 for all the videos posted, lol.
During the season, I didn't like Towns because I thought his game looked very unorthodox and that he was just a product of team success during Kentucky's historic run.
The way he carries himself off the court, his IQ, his improved play in the tournament, numerous scouts/GMs/trainers talking about how great this kid is and how skilled he is really swayed me on the big KAT bandwagon. I can see him being our defensive anchor for the next decade and i'm glad we're in this position to pick another cornerstone for this franchise and not just a piece.

Thought it may be too many vids for one post, updated with the Spoiler tags to help avoid breaking people's phones/PCs/brains (from too much awesome).

What are the chances of him starting day 1?
My guess is Flip wants to get this thing going right off the bat, much like he did with Wiggins last year. This is a number 1 overall guy, they can make a positive impact from the jump.

I think Dieng could beat him for starting lineup, but he will probably start to get first row tutelage from Garnett and Rubio.
From Mikan to Garnett to Love, lets hope he's the next great big of Minnesota

Been teetering between Okafor and Towns for weeks now but the Canis Hoopus article posted last week (if you haven't read it, do so) and some of the footage that has been put forward has swayed me to sit on the Towns bandwagon now.
Haven't been this excited about our future for the last decade! It looks like we're finally gathering the right pieces and moving in a very positive direction.

Yeah, I don't think it'll be much of a question. Now, they won't just hand it to him the second he walks through the door, he'll have to earn it. But I'm guessing things would have to be pretty bad if he's not starting opening night.

Does everyone think he'll stick to his college number 12? I kind of hope he switches back to 44, which he wore in HS. Or maybe he picks 34 in honor of his favorite player Len Bias.

How in the world is Len Bias his favorite player?? There wasn't that much footage of him in college and most of Bias was hype and legends

I actually think that's a pretty cool thing about him. He wasn't even born until nine years after Bias died. Shows he's a basketball junky.
Kentucky freshman Karl-Anthony Towns' favorite player is Len Bias, the former Maryland All-American. He has a Bias jersey in his room in the Wildcat Coal Lodge.
When asked what made Bias his favorite player, Towns said, "His versatility. The way he played. He played with ferocity. ... He was tall, just like me. But he was able to do a lot of things I just want to do in my game."
Towns also considers Bias as a valuable example of what not to do. Bias died of a cocaine overdose two days after being the second overall pick of the 1986 NBA Draft.
"He was also a great lesson," Towns said. "Stay focused on the path. Don't ever detour from it."http://www.kentucky.com/2014/12/09/3584822/determined-towns-trades-in-smile.html

12 works for me, he can stay away from this #:

I bet when they were having 3 point shooting contests back in 2013 Towns and Wiggins never thought they would be owning the NBA together
