A team needs to have at least one play maker on the floor to initiate offense and make the right play and pass to get his teammates good shots within the flow of that offense. I mean, I guess you could say that positions are irrelevant since that player does not have to be the PG, but it makes it a heck of a lot easier if that is the case, and as golden state has shown, more playmakers on the floor results in better shots.
Lavine is a pretty poor playmaker. Our team also does not have a whole lot of them besides Rubio, Towns, and maybe Bjelica. None of those dudes were playing in the fourth, and that is one of the reasons why our offense did not look very pretty. Sure, we scored a lot of points and won, but we played a lot of iso ball, and iso ball is a comparatively inefficient offense.
