Here's a little primer for camp. The players are hungry.

Would be cool if Kobe showed up and coached Wiggins and LaVine for a bit.

"It starts with your best players. So what Andrew's doing, what Karl's doing, and what Zach are doing, that's important to make progress." Thibs in training camp day 2.

He's talking about closing the game on 3 pointers again. I can already see him getting pissed if guys get lazy to contest the 3 point shot.

Bjelica also discussed again. Says he can shoot, pass, and dribble so he is a skilled and unique player as a 4. Would be cool to see him start once in a while based on matchups.

Wait, did John Lucas III make the team or is it a training camp deal?

Training camp deal from what I heard from Rotoworld. Probably there to increase player's overall familiarity with Thib's system. He hasn't been in the league for a couple of years. Who knows, maybe he'll transition to coaching? Seems like a good egg. But I'll be shocked if he sticks around for the regular season, what with one established starter and two-up-and-coming guys on guaranteed deals. The only reason that happens is if someone gets moved.

Lucas, Murry and Butler are all on camp deals. Lucas and Butler have a history with Thibs.

I think Bae Elite will have a big year this season. I really see a lot of skills with that man. He can be a really great role player with some serious versatility. I love his vision and ability to move the ball which we haven't seen a whole lot of.

There seems to be some chuckles every time either Belly or one of the others refers to his weight loss and new diet. I get the feeling his conditioning was a bit of an issue/talking point for him last season.

Really liked what JLIII had to say, sounds like a good locker room guy.

http://brauerrobson.libsyn.com/show-18-hello-40-wins-goodbye-kg - new podcast from Britt on Media Day, Training Camp and KG.

Some highlights:
- Britt very enamored with the team, thinks 46+ wins is a definite possibility
- Guys who really impressed: Bjelly and Dunn. Nemanja is in real good shape, realizes that last year was bad, puts it on himself. Not going to pass out of open 3pt shots no more. Dunn not only hard-nosed, but also very intelligent.
- Towns always impresses. Admitted to defensive lapses last year, this year defense gonna be a priority. Worked on all his skills: 1 to 5.
- Guess who's reworking his jumpshooting form under Peter Patton's guidance? Andrew Wiggins.
- Britt not really buying what Bazz and Zach are selling on their newfound commitment to defense... yet. Thinks Thibs is very high on LaVine still.
- Thibs really wants no distractions around the team during camp. That's partly may be why KG and Pek's situations were resolved before Media Day.
- Says the whole organisation is starting to feel very different: lotta new faces around, Coach K is in the building 1st day of camp, people around the league just think very highly of Thibs (compared to Mitchell last year).

Yeah, I'm glad that Thibs patiently waited till the last minute, but then cleared situation with Pek and KG. Interesting enough Payne has not been mentioned during these days in any context.

Wait, so KG is spending helping out the Clippers rather than helping out the kids in Minny?

KG must have had some big falling out with the organization. With Flips passing, my guess of any significant role (ownership or otherwise) were taken off the table.
