Anybody going to the draft party? It seems like they're really locking it down this year. It used to be open to everyone with a special area for ticket holders; now it's a private event at First Ave and they didn't give us +1s.

I asked myself this monring, if the Spurs are able to trade LMA or Danny Green and move up into the lottery like when they traded George Hill for the #1 pick that became Kwahi, who would they pick?

I think they would pick Frank Nkilitina.

So just based on that logic, maybe that's who we should take?

2015 draft was the best one IMO. Towns? Oak? DLo? Having the #1 pick was like a kid at a toy store.

The whole draft process has been amazing so far. Lots of talent, Ball follies, similarly talented, but vastly different players 3-8, the #1 overall pick getting traded, and lots of other possible trades, even with giant stars ...!

If the draft is even half as exciting as the lead in, it could be the best in years!

Having the #1 pick is great for the team, but kind of boring. You know who your going to pick before the draft usually, and the best part is over 5 minutes in.

According to you all we will close some deal tonight? I mean about move up or down or maybe trade with some great name (porz)?

Closing deals is always difficult. I think they will be trying. I'm going to guess there will be a trade down and they'll grab Collins or Markannen plus another asset.

Can't wait for the draft tonight. I'm staying up until the early hours here in Spain for the occasion. I really like DSJ but I can see how there might be better fits for us considering we have 3 on the books already. But if we're going to be picking the best player available then I feel it's him - unsure if Isaac is going to fall to us or not.

Josh Jackson says he's either going to Boston or Phoenix. Isaac/Jackson are going 3/4 right now I think.

Let's not forget that Smith is exactly the PG type, Thibs was successful with. A side story of this Draft: Is Thibs willing to adapt his coaching or is he trying to build the Bulls 2.0

this is the first time in years I'm actually at home on draft night and for the first time I can watch it. but given the time difference: how long does the first round of a draft usually take?

If Isaac is off the board, he's my guy. We could use his explosiveness of the bench. And if he ultimately turns out as good as advertised, we'd have a 2 headed PG monster for the present and future.

I'm not as concerned about Dunn because I think he's more Pat Beverley than dwade and should have no problems guarding wings and being that defensive bulldog.

The full first round takes about 2.5 hours, and with the presentation and all it's usually a bit behind schedule.

I'll lose faith in Thibs should he draft either Collins or Markkanen at no. 7. Both players could be had in trade with either Dallas or Sacto.

That assumes those teams are willing to trade up. Sometimes you just have to take who you're going to take.

Charlotte should be willing to trade up. We take Collins, OG, or whoever else you want at 11 and send you our 2018 1st top 3 protected. If you don't want the 1st you can have Marvin Williams instead.

Agree completely.

After a 31-win season, fit should only factor into play in regards to Wiggins and Towns, LaVine to a lesser extent. DSJ is the model candidate for the modern NBA PG. If you listened to Jim Pete a little while back, he gave an interview explaining the importance of a scoring PG, especially off the high screen.

2 to 2 1/2 hours from what I remember. I usually went to bed at around 3 am.

But is it just me or does this year's draft start earlier?

I think it's the same start time. I'm always just getting home from work around the time it starts. I remember listening to the beginning of the Mayo-Love draft in my car during my commute.

Quick question, if Thibs does draft Collins, does this push Towns to mainly PF? I sense Collins is more of a C.
