Ehh, that's Ben Simmons and the whole Phily fiasco injury wise.

As stated above, 3-4 month recovery. Sucks he'll miss Summer League and co. but not the worst thing that could happen I guess.

There was some rumors that the bulls made the pick in case the whole Butler deal went down.

If that's the case, which are the odds of he was already injured at the draft night given Paxson and Foreman relationship with Thibs?

True, but still. The Sixers are in the whole "trust the process" mode, they likely weren't exactly trying to get him back that quickly or urgent about anything. Patton was likely going to spend some time in Dleague to get good minutes too. Plus he should be back right around when season starts.

Sorry to hear this. Already weakest bench in the NBA gets worse. Looks like a 9 Seed for Minn :banghead:

What the heck is a 9th seed? There's no such thing when 8 teams make the playoffs in each conference.

This hurts the Iowa Wolves more than Minnesota.

?

Butler was traded a lot before it was our time to pick Patton. Thibs surely is the one who made the pick.

Patton wasn't going to play any meaningful minutes this year anyway, he's a project #1 and #2 Thibs doesn't hand out minutes for being young, especially with a roster this talented.

We don't know whether he would have played or not. This certainly makes it less likely that he will earn minutes.

Seriously. There is more than enough evidence that he is a troll. Lets not let this board devolve into rubechat.

Towns, Dieng, Gibson will probably play what... 85-90 or so minutes of the 96 available at the 2 big positions, thrown in Bjelica getting some minutes... nothing left for Aldrich or Patton at this time. Also even though Patton may be more talented then a vet minimum guy Thibs doesn't like playing rookies. They make mistakes and get no respect from the refs.
