5 dollarydoos from me

I will pitch in $100 and I volunteer to be the treasurer and hold all the money until we get the 1.7 Billion in an interest bearing account. My treasurer's fee is the interest earned.

He had one really rough shooting night that ruined his summer league percentages, but he shot 41.2% from 3 on over 5 attempts per game in college.

One rough night?
1/11 vs LAC
1/5 vs BOS
3/10 vs PHI
2/10 vs CLE
1/3 Vs BKN
2/3 Vs DAL
10/42 Total

Ricky would shoot that blindfolded...

If you remove the 1/11 (the night I was talking about) then he's at 9/31. That's still not good, but quite a bit better.

He has a really broken technique on his three and shoots it from very low. He can only get it off if he isn't guarded. He did as you stated have a nice percent on it.

His release is only a couple hundredths slower than Klay Thompson, and much faster than the NBA average. It starts low, but he shoots it from as high as he should. He has a goofy form, but all the numbers support it not being a disadvantage.

If I had a teammate chucking 1/5, 3/10,2/10,1/3,2/3 night in night out I would be pretty pissed. Thats horrible. And before you (or anyone else) mentions Ricky: he didnt shoot 10 3's a night... bad percentage is one thing, doing it high volume is another...

I haven't brought up Ricky at all. We're talking about Lonzo. What the hell does Ricky have to do with it? People love playing with Ball because he gets them the ball on time and in position. He dominated the summer league despite not shooting as well as he normally does. That should tell you that he contributes in a lot more ways than just shooting.

I didn't bring up Ricky, just look back and see how this shooting discussion even started...

According to RPM projections the Wolves are 4th in the west, and 4th in the league.

They also project to have the 2nd best offense in the league, but I doubt they will be above GS and Houston.

GS is obviously #1, I dont know about Hou...Houston has probably 3rd or 4th best offensive player in Harden, but how will CP3 adapt to D'antoni? They gave up 2 outside threats to get him in Bev and Lou. itll be interesting to see how they all mesh.

4th is generous I think, we've got a very good roster but I think we'll start off slow with so many new pieces, not too mention the West is full of really good teams.

I expect us to slot in at about 5th or 6th this season as I feel like we won't really click into gear until after the first 20-25 games.

Our starting 5 might be top 4 in the West, but our bench is still one of the worst. We might survive first half of the season but the second half and playoffs (+ 2 months) will be tough. Crawford is too old to carry us whole season. Unless we find diamond in the rough in Anthony Brown and Tyus Jones improves. But still capable veteran like B.Rush is needed.

I'm assuming the bench will be filled out a little bit by the start of the season, if we go in as we're currently constructed we'd fall into the playoffs I think

I think 4th is probably best case scenario. I'd be betting the under on both that and the 50 wins. That being said, I'd still slot us in at 5th to 7th and that's nothing to gripe about with where we're coming from.

GSW, HOU and SAS should all win more games. I would put OKC over us as well.

Truthfully, I think we may have the 4-5th most talented team, but I would be happy to simply make the playoffs in the toughest conference of all time. We still need a huge increase in wins from last year, and we had a lot of team turnover. I believe it takes time for players to learn to play with each other, and for young players to learn to win. Fortunately, the learning curve may be short, since Butler and Taj are familiar with each other, and with Thibs system.

We will do well if Wiggins and Towns learn and grow. And I expect them to do both, with a year under their belt with Thibs, and good mentors in Butler and Taj. However, if they simply stayed the same players as last year, I don't think we'd be talking about the 4th or 5th spot.

Agreed Shrink. Just think how good we could be if Towns and Wiggins become very good defenders. Sky is the limit then.

I think that's a huge key. There's no reason Towns and Wiggins couldn't/shouldn't be top 15 defenders at their positions. If they figure out whatever they need to figure out to become good defenders, that's a huge jump for us.

Would we be upset if we were a solid 6th seed?

I would. I expect better than that and I know we haven't made the playoffs since 2004.

I would just like to MAKE the playoffs. I would hate to be the 8th seed, but lets worry about that once we get within reach.

Also, side note because I didn't see a draft thread. What does our draft picks look like? I know we owe Atl a first, and I think we got one in a trade with OKC? When did we get that? And for what? I guess, now that we should be in the mid to late rounders, what do we have going forward? Link is fine.
