This wouldn't be happening otherwise, the pieces are in place.

Don't hold your breath.
But we could use that OKC 1st to dump Aldrich's salary, if necessary.

I'm really really really hating all this Teague and Timberwolves talk that has emerged after the Rubio trade... That would be terrible!

I'm hoping its just posturing
Teague does nothing for me
At least wait him out to get him on a cheap contract if that's what it comes to
DO NOT offer him huge $$ at 12:01 AM, that would be Mosgov level misreading of market

Positive: we're going to get Kyle Lowry.
Negative: we just made Utah even better.
It doesn't matter if Utah gets better, because Minny is going to be even better, make the playoffs and will probably be a top 5 team in the league for the foreseeable future (minus something dumb your front office does).

I thought when we agreed to trade Rubio it meant Lowry was pretty much locked up....but it looks like from reports it might be Teague instead...

Teague is an upgrade but in my opinion what he would get paid and who else we could bring in will determine if he is ultimately worth it.

IF IT"S TEAGUE we just gave up a far superior PG to pay more for an inferior PG.

Teague is a large downgrade. Atlanta let him go to start Schroeder.

A move that didn't work out so well for them in my opinion meanwhile Teague was fine in Indy. I don't love Teague by any means but I feel the same about Ricky both have flaws. I think for what Thibs wants to do offensively, Ricky was never going to work here.

If they sign teague, it pretty much rules out whomever butler was referring to. Teague isn't near as good as butler and we cannot afford teague plus anyone else good

What does Teague do well. He doesn't shoot well. Barely better than Ricky. He doesn't defend. He doesn't rebound and he's about average for assists.

He doesn't shoot poorly either. He's a good overall scorer.

He shoots average to below average. Is there even one thing he does better than Ricky other than shooting. It's almost certain he will cost more than Ricky too so we lose cap space in this deal as well unless we can trade the pick along with Aldrich for more cap space.

Jimmy is going to have the ball more in the new offense, our pg is going to play off the ball more. That is a big weakness that Ricky has, teams don't really respect him. I think some of the Rubio fans are being a bit over the top, they are similar players with differing strengths and flaws. For what Thibs envisions Teague could be a better fit.

What the WOLVES fans wanted if we were trading Rubio was for Lowry to be coming to us.

What's average? He's a 35% 3 point shooter this year, and 40 last year. That would probably be above average. He also has a TS of .570, which is above average.
