Any interest in Bobby portis?

With the news of Bp knocking mirotic out, this may be an opportunity to capitalize on someone else’s misfortune.

Portis is a quality player as your 7th-9th man. I’d love to have him in exchange for cole Aldrich. Not sure if it’s possible though.

Honestly, if Butler gave the ok on Portis I wouldn't mind it. Who knows how his attitude actually is. Could have been a one time outburst from him.

i wouldn't buy too much into the incident. ron artest broke micheal jordans ribs the summer that he was drafted to chicago. went on to be an eventual champion.

dion waiters also supposed beat up kyrie when he was on cleveland.

Sometimes guys just need a change of atmosphere. would obviously require an extensive background check (taj & jimmy would be helpful here)

Beyond trading for a guy that just put his teammate in the hospital, we probably wouldn't be in the rotation here. He can't play defense and we have maybe 4 bigs ahead of him on the depth chart.

Portis? Why would we be interested in anybody at this point. It's all pretty much bottom of the barrell. We have the perfect roster anyway.

I think the only reason people would be interested is the fact that he is still young and offers some potential. Its never a bad thing to have some younger players if you already have your rotation.

The Wolves likely don't have enough minutes for the bigs on the roster now. After Towns, Gibson, Dieng and Bjelica, I don't see anything left. So you brought in a frustrated guy who was fighting over playing time (literally) and are going to sit him on the end of the bench 65 games a year?

rather have Portis than Aldrich , don't mind the drama with Mirotic, it's not like Portis has been known as a bad seed through out college/first years in the league.

Before today, yes. After today, not if you paid me. Honestly, I think we already have some borderline crazy dudes on the roster. No need to exponentially increase the risk of a flare-up by bringing in Portis.

His career is done, more or less. It's always going to hang over any discussion of trading for/signing Bobby Portis that he put a teammate in the hospital with a cheap shot.

Rick Rickert was treated at the university of Minnesota hospital as he got his stitches received there. I don't know where his chipped tooth was treated.

If the news coming out that Mirotic charged Portis, I don't think he is a nut job and probably won't be available anyway
